Chapter 2353: Chapter 2354: Haven’t Felt Anything Yet
Ning Zihan said lightly, "Peeled it for you." As he spoke, he took a sip of his coffee. Then, he casually pushed a cup of hot milk he had just poured to An Baobei.
An Baobei: "..."
An Jing, while feeding Su Xing in her arms, secretly laughed at this little episode between An Baobei and Ning Zihan.
Su Changyi disliked Ning Zihan, but he didn’t mind Ning Zihan’s good gestures towards his beloved daughter. His precious daughter was a treasure for him and his wife, and he wanted everyone to treat her well.
So, Su Changyi didn’t even look at Ning Zihan and An Baobei, instead, he fed the little one with An Jing.
Ning Zihan never ate eggs for breakfast, nor did he drink milk. An Baobei couldn’t just give away Ning Zihan’s eggs and milk, so she had no choice but to eat them.
If it were in the past, An Baobei would have chosen to waste Ning Zihan’s food rather than eat or drink it. It didn’t matter to her, but ever since she got involved in charity, she never wasted anything again, especially food.
And An Baobei was sure that Ning Zihan was counting on her not wanting to waste anything now.
After breakfast, Ning Zihan went upstairs.
An Baobei had intended to sit with An Jing and the others in the living room, but suddenly remembered something and hurried upstairs to catch Ning Zihan, "Hey, Ning Zihan! Wait!"
"Hmm?" Ning Zihan stopped and turned back.
An Baobei ran up to him, initially panting heavily. After hesitating for a while, she finally whispered very softly, "I now understand what you meant when you said the Li Junlin you see and the Li Junlin I see are definitely different."
Ning Zihan slightly curved his lips, "Luckily you didn’t fall for him."
His smile was a bit glaring in her eyes at this moment, making An Baobei immediately stop being embarrassed. She glared at him, "I don’t like him, and I definitely wouldn’t like you! What are you showing off about!"
"Not showing off, just grateful," he corrected her good-naturedly. It was only with her that he would have such a good temper.
With his demeanor, she fell silent. After a while, she asked, "You’ve been chasing me for half a year and haven’t succeeded. Aren’t you tired?"
"Not feeling tired yet," he replied truthfully. Then, unsure, he added, "Perhaps... maybe I’m just one who’s inclined to be devoted."
An Baobei’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t know if it was to cover up or force herself to ignore the feeling, but she immediately hummed, "They say ’birds of a feather flock together.’ You’re so close with him, and he’s not devoted, so don’t expect yourself to be devoted either."
Ning Zihan just smiled and didn’t say anything further.
Seeing Ning Zihan not responding, An Baobei had nothing more to say either. Plus, his way of smiling at her made her quite uncomfortable, so she just turned around and went downstairs again.
As she went downstairs, she muttered to herself, "I used to hardly see him smile, how come it’s becoming so frequent lately... and it seems like he only smiles at her like this, really..."
Muttering and grumbling to herself, An Baobei felt a bit troubled, sensing that Ning Zihan was increasingly affecting her. She couldn’t treat Ning Zihan as if he didn’t exist anymore.
Ning Zihan, on the other hand, wasn’t bothered, and he wasn’t foolish. He clearly sensed that there was a bit of change between him and An Baobei — a good change, one that he was very pleased with.
As for whether he was devoted or not, he himself wasn’t sure either. He only knew that, up to now, he had only ever liked her.
