Chapter 1188: Chapter 1190: Any Regrets?

Maybe because of the hangover, William Guillen’s head was sluggish. "Which Miss Zane?"

"Miss Fluffy Zane is here."

Fluffy Zane...

Fluffy Zane?!

William Guillen’s steps halted, his handsome brows instantly knitted tight. Why did she come?

Since the last time they parted on bad terms in the medical office, he hadn’t seen Fluffy Zane ever again.

Thinking of how decisively she rejected him, William Guillen couldn’t quite name what he was feeling inside heart; displeasure was definitely there.

After all, she’d always been the one chasing him. He took the initiative to show goodwill, only to be mercilessly rejected, and it wounded his male pride.

The servant saw him stop and show no intention of going in, and carefully asked, "Young Master, you’re not going in?"

"No. There’s still work at the company, I’m going first."

With that, William Guillen turned and got into the car, telling the driver to go to the company.

The servant watched the Maybach speed off into the distance, a bit dazed.

The Young Master just left like that, then what about Miss Zane?

Fluffy Zane’s legs still weren’t healed. The reason she came was because she wanted to see William Guillen.

Mrs. Guillen had called William Guillen on the telephone, informing him to return home for dinner. William Guillen agreed, and only then did Fluffy Zane keep waiting.

Seeing that it was almost evening and William Guillen still hadn’t return home, Fluffy Zane was getting a little antsy.

"Fluffy, don’t worry. I’ll go see if Guillen Junior has come back." Mrs. Guillen saw her anxiety and soothingly patted the back of hand, then got up and walked outside.

She had barely stepped outside when she ran right into a servant coming toward her. "Madam, the Young Master has return home..."

"Guillen Junior is back?" Joy flashed across Mrs. Guillen’s face; she almost turned around to tell Fluffy Zane.

The servant looked troubled and added, "The Young Master heard Miss Zane was here, and then he left again..."

By the servant’s stop‑start report, Mrs. Guillen felt in a moment she had fallen from paradise straight into hell. What did he mean, came back and then left?

"Where is he?" Mrs. Guillen looked like she was about to go settle accounts with Guillen Junior.

The servant shook his head. "Madam, the Young Master has now left."

Sitting on sofa on sofa, Fluffy Zane vaguely heard that the Young Master had left. She lowered her head, her fingernails digging tightly into her palm.

Was it because she came that he left again?

Mrs. Guillen was so anxious she was about to call William Guillen on the telephone when Fluffy Zane had already, with difficulty, braced herself on her crutch and come up behind her. "Auntie, I..."

Mrs. Guillen turned around and, worried, steadied her. "Fluffy, why did you get up? Come on, come on, go sit down quickly, be careful not to hurt your legs..."

"Auntie, I’m fine. I won’t stay for dinner, I’ll go home first."

Mrs. Guillen’s movements paused. She looked at her with heartache, unable to hide the loss on that small face. "You heard everything just now, didn’t you?"

Fluffy Zane gave a bitter smile and nodded.

"Silly child." Mrs. Guillen hugged her with distress. "Forget it, Guillen Junior just doesn’t have that blessing. I’ll have the driver take you back."

Fluffy Zane didn’t refuse. After getting in the car, she leaned against the chair back and closed her eyes.

Did she regret it inside heart?

It wasn’t that she didn’t. If she had known, at that time she should have listened to Sophie Sullivan’s suggestion and just gotten together with him.

It was only three months anyway. No matter what the result would be after three months, at least she would have once had him.

Now it was as if everything had returned to the starting point: William Guillen was avoiding her, and she was racking her brains to chase after him.

Fluffy Zane let out a sigh, utterly exhausted.

William Guillen arrived at the company and went to lie down in the lounge in the President’s Office.

Knowing Mrs. Guillen would definitely call him on the telephone, he very foresightedly turned off the electricity, and the lounge was utterly silent.
