Chapter 52: 52: Gratitude
While the kid still groaned and rolled mildly in pain, Ayra had the system present the diagnosis to her. And in the process she had realized that the kid had been poisoned, through water.
But how was that possible? Ayra wondered because it didn’t seem like a natural water poisoning like she’d expect from an unfavourable environment. Rather she could detect some direct poisoning of the kid through a water source.
Ayra was confused. "How’s this possible...?" She wondered as she proceeded to heal him from it. They watched as Ayra gently ran her hand through his forehead, soothing it while also holding onto his hands warmly.
"It’s okay... It’s okay..." Ayra uttered soft gentle words to him while soothing his forehead and holding his hands. And then Ayra gently caressed his stomach while her healing took place.
It only took a minute and the pain immediately subsided.

Ayra accepted and read through the shocking revelation she had acquired from the system.
The cheetah had stopped groaning and rolling in pain, but rather lay there while recovering, sweat breaking from his forehead as he stared up at Ayra.
He was surprised. Shocked at how the pain had immediately faded off while he stared to see who was behind it. And was rather shocked to find out that it was the F-rank female who everyone was familiar with for being useless.
"This..." The cheetah slowly sat up with Rai’s help as he stared at Ayra. He felt his stomach but wasn’t feeling any pain at all.
"How does it feel?" Rai asked with a smile as the cheetah slowly nodded.
"I feel good... The pain is no more. As if it wasn’t there before.." he said as he stared at Ayra. "I think she has successfully healed me..."
Everyone at the scene went pale. They quietly stared at each other and stared at Ayra in pure disbelief. They couldn’t believe their eyes at all.
"Am I seeing things...? Did she really...?"
Another nodded. "Yeah.. you saw it right. This female actually did heal someone... An F-rank female actually did heal someone."
"Isn’t the cheetah an A-rank?? How is it possible that she could heal him when she’s just an F-rank??"
"Same thought! But I guess the rumors are actually true. This female surely does have the skills to heal..."
They shook their heads as they stared in disbelief. No one spoke anymore, they didn’t dare doubt anymore because they had seen it with their eyes. This F-rank female surely had the skills to heal and probably soothe as they said!
"Is she some sort of goddess?" One of the elders asked.
"Or maybe a legendary beast female? Because I haven’t heard of such," another elder agreed.
"Either way, this F-rank female is quite different from the rumors.. she’s actually.. skilled."
While they admired Ayra now, she slowly got up to her feet with Rai who was helping the cheetah up.
The cheetah turned to her and immediately went down on his knees.
Ayra was speechless. "What’s this...?"
"Thank you!" The cheetah found himself bowing in appreciation. "I am sorry for looking down on you previously... But now.. I’ve learnt my lesson! I will never do so! Thank you for saving me!"
Soon, the other teenage beastmen also bowed to Ayra in appreciation. "We are all sorry for doubting you too! Thank you for saving our friend! We promise to pay you back!"
"Yes! Please state what you want and we’ll get it for you as gratitude!"
"Do you want us to hunt meat for you or get wine? Anything! Mention it!"
Ayra smiled at the kids. "No need. As long as he’s okay..."
"..."
Everyone stared in immense shock. They couldn’t believe their eyes. The female wasn’t taking anything in return? Wasn’t she the one who couldn’t go without eating or drinking? How was she then doing good without asking for anything?
They were simply impressed by Ayra at that moment.
"I told you she was amazing!" Rai smiled. "You just didn’t believe me."
The other teens stared at each other and then stared at Ayra. "Even though you won’t take anything, we’ll make sure we repay you."
The cheetah nodded. "Yes. We’ll go and hunt for the best meat and wine and feed you as displaying our gratitude. Please accept it!"
Ayra smiled at the cheetah. "You should take care of yourself first," she told him. "Don’t go running around."
"...!" Everyone was shocked. This female actually did care about someone?!
Immediately, the doctor arrived at the scene. The antelope had arrived to handle the case reported to him. But on arriving at the scene, he and the other beastmen that brought him there were rather shocked.
They stared at the scene, speechless. The cheetah was already healed. He was standing in perfect condition.
"What happened?" The antelope asked.
"It’s the female," one of the elders said with a smile. "She has a special skill of quickly healing people!"
"Yes exactly! You should have witnessed it. It was amazing!"
"I guess the rumors are true. This female really has some wonderful skills. Please treat me next time my waist begins aching again."
"Me too."
They all praised Ayra at the scene as she casually smiled it off. But the antelope didn’t seem happy at all.
The antelope said nothing for a while but glared at Ayra. "The female healing... Now that’s something new," he said with a scoff and then turned and left the scene.
Ayra blinked watching him leave. She could tell she had made him jealous without any intentions of it. And she simply had a bad feeling about him in general.
Ayra shook her head and turned to the kids who were planning on how they’d go and hunt some meat for her as showing their appreciation.
But immediately, someone had attacked from a distance at random.
"You vicious female! You dare show your face here in the tribe?!"
Ayra heard a male beast snap in a vicious tone as she turned to the scene. She was shocked to see a black leopard beastman approaching furiously with a dagger firmly in his hand.
Ayra gasped. This leopard was surely set to kill her off immediately.
