Chapter 51: 51: One Teen Down.

That morning, Ayra had briefly gotten ready and left the wooden house. She went outside to meet the now almost familiar scene of male beasts going about their daily lives.

She stared at some elder beastmen gathered in their discussions, younger male beasts playing around and the stronger ones working. It was becoming a familiar sight to her at the moment.

Ayra watched the teenage beastmen playing some sort of game which she guessed was close to football or something. All throwing around a round object crafted from leaves and twigs. It was a fascinating scene watching them throw the ball-like object around while having their fun. She could even see Rai playing along with them.

Ayra casually smiled at the scene while also thinking about how she was going to convince the tribe lords on not handing their food to the Silvermoon tribe. She understood their dynamic of things at the moment. She was aware that the upper tribes manipulated this tribe and took advantage of them while also taking away their resources.

She was aware of this fact and rather found it pathetic. She couldn’t believe that that trashy tribe that had cast her away were taking advantage of this tribe they considered monsters and treated as outcasts. Ayra found it hypocritical, treating them like trash while also forcing them to provide stuff for you lazily sitting your ass around.

It pissed her off knowing this and she couldn’t imagine letting the food she had worked hard for get handed over to that dumb tribe. She couldn’t let it, so she thought of ways to convince them to keep it to themselves.

But as she headed to the tribe leader’s lair, she heard a sudden burst of cries around her.

Ayra paused as she turned to her side only to see a teen fall to the ground while the others gathered around him. It was one of the teenage beastmen playing that strange football game. And his peers had urgently gathered around him, worried.

The scene had also pulled some attention as everyone turned around to see what was happening.

Ayra stared. The cheetah beastman was on the floor, rolling and groaning in pain, a hand over his stomach. He was almost crying as everyone gathered in panic.

"What’s wrong? What’s happening with him?"

"I didn’t do anything. I just threw the ball to his chest and he suddenly fell down..."

"The ball isn’t that hard... It shouldn’t have caused him any problems..." another expressed. "So what’s wrong with him then?? What happened?"

Some elders had slowly begun gathering at the scene. But there was nothing they could do, they couldn’t save him at all.

"Call the doctor!" They demanded while trying to calm down the young cheetah that was still in immense pain.

Ayra stared. The system didn’t give any notification on this. She found it strange because didn’t the system always hand out information on such tasks she needed to accomplish? But it didn’t and this had Ayra wondering if she was to get involved in this.

But she also had another task at hand. So what now?

She hesitated and then stared at the scene with a sigh. "Task or no task, that child is having it hard. I’ll go and take a look," Ayra said as she approached the scene.

As she stepped into the scene, the beastmen around paused and stared at her.

"What’s she doing here?" One of the elders asked. "Is she here to harm the little one or?"

"That vicious female..." Another said. "She should even be here? Someone send her off."

"But I heard she might actually be good at healing and that she healed someone too.."

"I doubt it. This F-rank female possibly couldn’t be able to heal anything! It’s a lie."

"Yeah! Send her off now! Don’t let her get close to the child else she’ll harm him!" The men at this jurisdiction certainly weren’t around when Ayra did her healing so they had no knowledge and only heard. But they still didn’t trust her enough to believe.

But Ayra ignored them as she approached the child. "If you want the boy to die because of your biased mindset, then be my guest. But I don’t think I can let that happen," she said as she approached the cheetah and went down on her knees before him.

"Why is she here?" One of the teens asked. "I heard that she harms people!"

"Yes same! She should leave right now! She’ll harm him!"

"An F-rank female like her trying to heal someone? That’s a joke! She’s just looking for an excuse to viciously harm him."

But Rai who was holding onto the cheetah snapped at them. "What do y’all know? Stop speaking based on dumb rumors you can’t even confirm when you don’t know her."

"And why are you even defending her?" Another questioned him.

Rai stared at Ayra. "Because she saved me. And I also saw her save people with my own eyes. So I trust that she has amazing skills that could heal anyone!"

"Don’t mind their words at all! Please help him!" Rai pleaded as Ayra smiled.

"Don’t worry, I’ll do my best," she said as she casually placed a hand on the cheetah beastman’s forehead, examining him.

The others watched her examine while they basically scoffed and shook their heads.

"She’s just showing off and wasting her time. It makes no sense at all because I bet she can’t even do anything."

"I know right. The doctor is already on his way. So when he comes she’ll have to leave immediately and not waste our time before he dies."

Ayra ignored their words and continued her work. Since the system didn’t hand her the task alert, she had to summon the system during her examination of the kid while also having it detail what could possibly be wrong with the kid and how to handle it.

And after she got what she needed from the system, Ayra couldn’t help but be shocked at the result of things.

"Water poisoning?" Ayra muttered, speechless.
