The leopard was still looking pitiful and wronged.
Gu Zhao hugged it directly, her eyes filled with joy.
"A fellow countryman!!!" Gu Zhao was ecstatic, as if she had been mute all day and could finally speak!

And having been "mute" for so long, now that she could understand, she decided to speak with a vengeance.
The three tigers bared their teeth in anger.

The leopard didn’t understand what Gu Zhao was saying, but it could tell she enjoyed listening.
It got more and more into it, until it even spilled the tea on the three tigers.
"Xiangxiang, don’t be fooled by how majestic they look now. A while ago, a family of hyenas snuck in while they were out, raided their den, and left a huge pile of crap. The place stank to high heaven."
"The three of them are still homeless now. They have a home, but they can’t go back to it."
Gu Zhao couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the three tigers. They were still glaring angrily at the leopard, but the moment they saw Gu Zhao looking, they broke into wide, dopey grins.

The leopard turned its head and translated for Gu Zhao, "It said it could eat a cub like that in one bite."

Seeing Gu Zhao look at it, the tiger raised its head proudly.
"COO COO!" Just then, a bird flew over.
It landed on the leopard’s head and preened its feathers, taking advantage of the fact that with Gu Zhao around, none of the animals would kill.
The leopard shook its head, wanting to shoo away the newcomer who was vying for attention, but it froze when the little bird spoke.
