Chapter 2959: Strangeness in Avalon
Adrian received news from the shadow corps that the Champions of Olympus has entered the Ruins of Etna. Even though he did not want to go there, he wanted to have at least an idea if the other party will escape unscathed or will they release the abomination that could kill half of the gods when angered. Funnily enough, the shadow corps reported that the four Champions of Olympus were able to clear or escape the dungeon.
"The damage that they accumulated based on the images means that the dungeon itself does not have a boss battle which is funny. The notes of the gods of life and death told me that the shadow of the Primordial Calamity Typhon would be the one at the end of that dungeon. Does that mean they defeated the enemy? Are the Champions of Olympus that strong?" Adrian thought as he just finished organizing some stuff for Avalon when Elder Koronn was hurriedly looking for him.
"What did you do?!" Elder Koronn asked which suddenly made Adrian perk up and look at him awkwardly as he does not know what the other party was referring to.
"I did not do anything though. What do you mean what did I do?" Adrian asked as he is genuinely lost on what Elder Koronn was talking about.
"The core!" Elder Koronn emphasized.
"The core of what? We have lots of cores in this territory as each island has a different core. Can you please tell me which one?" Adrian stated.
"All of them! You have tainted all of the cores!" Elder Koronn stated as if he is accusing Adrian that he sabotaged his own territory.
"Huh?!" Adrian exclaimed in shock and disbelief as he does not know what Elder Koronn was talking about. Why would he taint the cores of his own territory?
"I am so lost here, Elder Koronn. I am pretty sure that I did not do anything to the cores of Avalon. I just refilled them back with energy as we lost a lot of it when the barriers for all islands activated." Adrian stated as he needed to supply the energy into the cores to jumpstart the mana absorbing process once more that was halted when the barriers were activated.
"That is what I am saying! Your energy did something to the cores! Come with me quick!" Elder Koronn stated as he dragged Adrian through a portal that the former created and they appeared at the core of the main island of Avalon.
"It seems that the culprit is finally here." Elder Ascalor stated as he is accompanied by Old Man Pann along with other key Daemos that deals with materials like Jianna and Aernas.
"Why do say that like it is a bad thing? If something is wrong with my territory then the Land Deity should have already alerted me about it." Adrian stated as he is referring to the Territory Module.
Adrian would have been alerted if something is wrong with his territory as he made sure to have only priority damages to be alerted to him. Any damage in the territory would be reported immediately even if he is inside a dungeon as that is how he set it. What Adrian forgot was that he made sure to just leave the other messages on read later.
"What is happening is not necessarily a bad thing. The problem is that we also do not know if it is entirely a good thing. Aernas and Jianna, can you tell us what has happened with the core? I have been feeling that the energy fluctuation has changed as it became chaotic all of a sudden." Elder Ascalor stated.
"Regarding that, I do not have much in my records about anomalies like this. What I can say is that there is nothing wrong if we are to look at it in a theoretical standpoint." Aernas stated.
"The material is stable and does not show any sign of breakage. It does have chaotic energy fluctuations but is actually very much good. There are no cracks on the core to even suggest that it is damaged." Jianna stated.
"So, what is the problem again?" Adrian asked as it seems no one has told him why he was summoned here.
"Can you look at the core of your territory?! It should not be fluctuating in deep blue, red, and purple! The core was still in a pure azure color before you happened and I... we do not know if something bad will happen." Elder Ascalor stated as he knows that the core is the one that keeps the islands afloat in the sky. If something were to happen to the core then all of Avalon would fall down and kill everyone that cannot escape.
"Is that so? I always thought that it does that weird color changing thing since that always happens when I supplied it with mana or energy even before. I mean... before it only happens when I supply it directly with my own energy but I now notice that it has become permanent." Adrian stated as he acknowledges that there has been a slight change in his view.
"Did you supply the core with your unfiltered energy?" Old Man Pann asked.
"I did. I mean that is what I did before when it was my time to supply it." Adrian replied which made all of them sigh as the kid sometimes does things without thinking it through.
"I guess that is why they call that nobody can be a smart in everything. The brat is a walking example of that." Elder Ascalor stated which all of them nodded their heads as if what he said is a verified fact.
"I mean... did I do something wrong?" Adrian asked as he did not receive any warnings which made him look throught he messages in the Territory Module and it made him gulp.
[You are supplying Chaos Energy to the Territory Core of Avalon. Mutations might occur if continued to do so.]

"Oh! Wow! It even gave me a notification many times but I did not notice it because I was really tired back then and just wanted to get it over with." Adrian muttered which made Elder Ascalor, Elder Koronn, and even Old Man Pann pinch his cheek as punishment for his reckless behavior.
"The punishment was unnecessary as I still believe that nothing wrong will happen. This is my territory though!" Adrian stated as he pouted with his swollen cheeks.
"If it is your territory then you can have the management back." Elder Ascalor stated as he was about to return the management token Adrian gave him which made the latter revert his statement.
"I was only joking with what I said. You do know that I value all of you and what you do for the territory and that I am solely to blame for what happened here. I did not know that my sudden careless action will result in such a case. I will make sure to run it by all of you in the future should something like this happened again." Adrian stated with a pitiful smile while the others only looked at him with judging gazes.
"Why does it felt like you rehearsed what you would say in times like this." Elder Koronn stated.
"I cannot even feel the sincerity from the words you spoke." Jianna teased.
"Is that what you were rehearsing in your guild home? Your guild members told me that you were rehearsing a speech as they like to gossip about that." Old Man Pann added which made Adrian felt like he got triple killed.
"I think it is not all bad since the Land Deity that is said to live in the core is not saying anything." Aernas stated.
"Master! I knew you would defend me!" Adrian stated as he was about to hug Aernas when the latter added more to his statement.
"Or you could have killed it and the only thing there is the Chaos Energy that disintegrated the remains of the land deity." Aernas stated which made Adrian panic and scroll every message that he received from the territory module to check.
Adrian checked everything to make sure that there was no notification about the death of the land deity. If that happened then a lot of beings could attack Avalon to claim it and he will have no ability to repel them. Fortunately for Adrian, there were no messages regarding that fact which made him wipe his imaginary sweat from his forehead.
"The land deity is fine. It just said that it is undergoing metamorphosis because of what I did. Also, it seems that every island was hit by what I did and there are now pocket dimensions spawning in each of them." Adrian reported.
"WHAT!" All of the elder demons shouted simultaneously.
