Chapter 512: Inside The Inheritance Ground.
A few minutes before Sebastian entered the inheritance ground...
Before entering the inheritance ground, Sebastian stopped for a few minutes as he went over his plan again to determine if he left any loopholes or if he made any glaring mistakes that could haunt him later.
Sebastian was not a perfectionist; he had made so many stupid decisions throughout his life that he was bailed out mostly by his luck.
For this inheritance opportunity though, Sebastian was not like his normal self, he wanted to make the best use of this opportunity.
He didn’t want to lose everything that he already worked for till now which was why he asked for his companion’s opinion.
"Goldie, what do you think of my plan?"
After Sebastian bonded with his Celestial Beast, Goldie easily became his closest companion, even closer than Eliana.
Since Goldie was bonded to his soul, he was accessible to all 3 of his bodies at the same time. This way, Sebastian got a buddy that he could communicate with, vent his frustrations, and fits of anger, and cherish his victories with.
Not a single day went by that Sebastian and Goldie didn’t engage in conversations, most especially when Goldie was an extremely curious Celestial Beast who simply wanted to know everything about the world.
After spending a few months alongside him, Sebastian already pretty much grasped Goldie’s personality.
The Goldie Crow was a hyperactive beast who was extremely inquisitive and never got tired till he knew everything about a topic, and he loved adventures, a lot.
This meant that Sebastian had a chatterbox blabbering about in his head always. Even when embroiled in battle, Goldie never shied away from giving his opinion which was seldom useful and most times disruptive.
Despite this, Sebastian never restricted the Celestial Beast since Goldie with time already proved to be his greatest companion and helper already.
Also, Goldie was a fast learner. Every time that Goldie spoke, Sebastian felt the difference, it was like Goldie kept on maturing every single day.
This time, once Sebastian asked, Goldie did not hesitate to give his opinion.
"Caw!" "Caw!"
"Oh, you’re worried about the Dirans?"
"Caw!"
"Hmm, I guess you’re right, I’ll leave a doppelganger behind to keep an eye on them and also use this opportunity to survey the surroundings of the inheritance ground".
Sebastian listened to Goldie’s suggestion and worked on it immediately.

Since he had all the mana that he needed in the world, Sebastian didn’t just create 1 but he created 10 doppelgangers at the same time.
After doing this, he finally entered the inheritance ground.

Sebastian felt like he entered a vacuum tube as he was sucked into the inheritance ground. The next moment, when his eyes regained focus, he saw himself in a familiar world of white.
Having entered the inheritance ground of a Black tier predator previously, Sebastian felt like a fish in water once he arrived here.
He prepared himself, anticipating the beginning of a test.
To Sebastian’s surprise though, nothing happened even after the first and second minutes already passed. He waited and waited for 8 minutes and still seeing no change, instantly, Sebastian knew that something was wrong.
He felt a familiar feeling from what was happening at this moment, he had experienced this feeling before when he played video games back on earth.
When playing online multiplayer video games, there were occasions when hackers invade and forcefully insert a cheat avatar into the game.
Once Sebastian met this scenario, the connection of the game starts glitching most of the time which affects the gameplay, and in the worst-case scenarios, the game just freezes.
This was what Sebastian felt at this moment, it was like he was supposed to start a test in this world of white but everything was frozen.

Once Sebastian blasted everywhere with his sensing skill and confirmed that no one else was there with him, everything pointed down to him.
Sebastian was confused, was he the cheat avatar entering the game here?
The uncertainty of the situation started grating at his nerves, Sebastian was tense all over as he entered a defensive state, anticipating an ambush.
By this point, he was already leaning towards this inheritance ground being that of an evil Leviathon. "Damn, so unlucky!"
In this tense state though, at the 10th minute, a change finally happened.

On hearing the sound, Sebastian instantly activated his defensive skill but he calmed down the next moment after looking carefully.
Hovering before him at this moment was a barely corporeal massive Leviathon that was almost 2 times larger than Trinidad.
This massive Leviathon kept on flickering as he would soon evaporate out of existence, and when he finally spoke, his voice was hoarse like those of an undead beast.
"Cough..., priority target has finally been met".
"Mission successful..., initiating temporary soul transfer mechanism".
The next moment, before Sebastian could speak or object, he was hit by a yellow shockwave as his soul was extracted out of his body.
Sebastian’s soul hovered in the world of white, confused but a suction force dragged it the next moment as he slammed against the massive Leviathon.

Sebastian felt a headache but when he finally recovered, he saw himself in what he could only describe as a theater and he was watching a movie.
5 minutes in, Sebastian discovered that he was watching this Leviathon’s life.
Not the Black tier predator’s life, but the life of the soul remnant that he left behind. After the powerful Black tier Leviathon died, he left an inheritance and made his soul remnant to be in charge of it.
This Black tier Leviathon died more than a century ago, which meant that the life of the soul remnant started over a century ago.
When the Black tier Leviathon died, he left only 1 priority order for his soul remnant, only a Leviathon was qualified to be his main inheritor.
This was the life mission that the soul remnant strived to fulfill.
For a century, this soul remnant employed different means to attract different predators to the inheritance ground. Despite the measures that it employed though, Leviathons were scarce, he never found any.
Soul remnants were formed from the dissipating soul power of their progenitors, and even though the progenitor of this soul remnant was a powerful Black tier Leviathon, after over a century, it already depreciated a lot.
This soul remnant depreciated so much throughout the years that it lost control of every other part of the inheritance ground except the core.
This was the reason why other predators entered and started benefiting from the inheritance ground. Despite all these though, the soul remnant remained faithful and used its remaining essence to guide the core.
It already depreciated so much that it was about to dissipate but it still held firm, now, it finally fulfilled its mission and found Sebastian.
Once he met the Leviathon, the soul remnant was already too weak to talk, so it simply used its remaining soul power to make the beast read its memories.
By watching the memories of the soul fragment like a movie, Sebastian was able to learn all that he needed about the core of this inheritance ground.
When the movie ended, the soul remnant finally dissipated. After fulfilling its ultimate mission, it could not hold on any longer, its life finally came to an end.
Sebastian was still fascinated by everything that happened.
