Chapter 506: The Blood Wreckage!
The Blood Wreckage was a bloody aftermath of the Orca Revolution.
This was one of the main battlefields where the powerful Killer Whale Empire clashed with the indomitable Necromancy King Empire.
This was one of the main battlefields that resulted in the damage to the primordial origin essence of the Dungeon of Souls.
Apparently, the main army of the 2 powerful Empires clashed here in an epic confrontation that lasted 3 weeks.
During this time, hundreds of thousands of warships that belonged to both armies fell and turned to scrap, and millions of Killer Whales and Death Dragons died in the epic confrontation which reflected the scale of damage that was done.
During the time of this epic confrontation, the battlefield was the one that suffered as the terrain changed into an entirely different one after 3 weeks.
Though no third party was sure about the outcome of this epic confrontation, rumors said that the Killer Whales emerged victorious after this epic battle as they pushed the Death Dragons back into their inner circle of defense.
Though it was unconfirmed, if it was true, this victory would surely be one of the best victories that the Killer Whales ever had in this war.
After the battle, the battlefield became nothing more than a wide expanse of waste. The aftermath of the battle created what seemed like a black hole that kept on sucking every wreckage within distance.
After over a week of doing this, when calm finally returned and the blackhole-like phenomenon stopped, the Blood Wreckage was created.
A huge wreckage ground devoid of life was created from the suction force of the black hole that sucked all the nearby wrecks, debris, and scraps from the massive battle.
Being such massive Empires, the wealth of the Killer Whale Empire and the Necromancy King Empire was unmatched in this region and this was the reason why the wreckage became a prime target to opportunists.
The warships of these 2 Empires were made using the best alloys available in Oceania, their magic weapons and gadgets were the best of the best, and their most common gadget was a treasure to any of the opportunists.
This was why after the 2 massive Empires continued their war without caring about the wreckage that they left behind, the scavengers emerged.
Scavengers always appeared when there was a catch to scavenge. Once the massive battle came to an end, they appeared from different directions as they all jumped in to take a bite from this huge meat.
It did not take much time before the first group of scavengers started hitting it big. When news of these scavengers getting legendary magic weapons and gadgets spread, the greed spread to the bigger powers.
Powerful high-grade rural settlements, and even some lesser Beast and variant human Empires were attracted to the wealth of the Blood Wreckage.
To avoid provoking the ire of any of the 2 massive battling empires, these lesser Empires and high-grade rural settlements created scavenger teams that started invading the Blood Wreckage daily.
In no time, the greed became insatiable and medium-grade rural settlements started being attracted also. Once they were attracted, the traffic in the Blood Wreckage skyrocketed and this heralded the age of scavenging.
Though it was already more than a month since the Blood Wreckage started being searched and dissected apart, it still hid a lot of treasures.
Now, Sebastian and his group of Dirans arrived to join this competition between scavenger groups.
The Blood Wreckage provided Sebastian with a straightforward platform to fulfill most of his ambitions and was the reason why he came here.
Here, fighting was even more rampant than in other parts of the Dungeon of Souls since all the scavenger teams hoped to get the treasure.
The fighting provided Sebastian with the perfect opportunity to hone his skills more and level like a maniac, and it also provided him with the opportunity to join the treasure hunt to fill the coffers of his army.
Sebastian joined the competition with the Dirans as his only companions. He didn’t try to recruit other beasts; he was not forming another army.
To get the best result, Sebastian intended to go solo with his Leviathon body. The Dirans were only needed for the scavenging part, for the leveling up part, he intended to go solo leveling.
Through his experience of the past few days as he traveled, Sebastian already had a basic idea of the Blood Wreckage even before he arrived there.
The Blood Wreckage was a territory as massive as the previous Nightmare Forest where he was, all this territory was now lifeless war wreckage.
After over a month of scavengers digging through this region like rats, a map of the Blood Wreckage was already made and was accessible to only those with the right connection.
Sebastian got the map after one of his encounters with a purple-tier predator. After killing the fellow, he got this as his reward.
The Blood Wreckage was divided into 4 major zones, the tail zone, the head zone, the left rib zone, and the right rib zone.
Powerful scavenger groups already established themselves in each of these major zones. The 2 leading scavenger groups of the Wreckage were the Clam scavenger group and the Die-hard scavengers.
The Clam scavenger group dominated the tail zone and their leader was a pinnacle Red tier predator, as for the Die-hard scavengers, they took the head zone as their backyards and their leader was a powerful Red tier predator.
As for the remaining 2 major zones, there was no overpowering power but all the scavenger groups were strong with a lot of teeth.
Sebastian’s target for dominance first was the left rib zone and this was where he arrived. From here, he aimed to slowly fight his way to hegemony before expanding his ambitions to the remaining 3 major zones.
On the first day that Sebastian arrived with his subordinates, he encountered a scavenger group who pounced on them intending to finish them off without hesitation on seeing their lesser numbers.
Unfortunately for this scavenger group though, they were up against Sebastian. Just a few skill activations and Sebastian wiped them all out.
After this first battle, Sebastian allowed his subordinates to adapt to the surroundings and dig their resting chambers before they finally began work.
Once the Dirans started, Sebastian finally knew why they were the authority figure when it came to scavenging, the Dirans was literally born for this.
With the Dirans under Quintillion’s leadership taking care of this already, Sebastian had all the time and leisure in the world to go find trouble.
Without wasting time, he left to go bully some predators.
Sebastian only needed to swim a few meters before they came in bulk. Sebastian grinned and accepted them all as he started a killing spree immediately.
For the next 3 days, while his subordinates worked hard on salvaging treasure and any good stuff, Sebastian worked hard on killing beasts, leveling up, and making a name for himself and his group of Dirans.
Sebastian annihilated not less than 8 scavenging teams in this period, half-annihilating dozens more at the same time as he finally became known.
The more he was known, and the more his subordinates salvaged, the more he drew attention, and the defects of attracting attention finally came.
After facing weak enemies since their arrival here, a real scavenger group finally turned its ire on this new scavenger force who thought themselves invisible.
The scavenger group didn’t engage in words, they simply attacked.
