Chapter 484: An Unexpected Encounter.
Since the first day of its creation, Sebastian’s Leviathon body never left the sights of his main body due to the importance that this body had to him.
At first, the main body took it around like a fragile perishable good but this assumption stopped after the Leviathon fought its first official battle.
After that battle, Sebastian fully understood the capabilities of his ultimate war vessel but this didn’t prevent him from keeping it close to his main body still.
For some reason, back then, Sebastian felt that it was not time yet to let his ultimate war vessel go out on a rampage.
That was then though, now, the Leviathon finally experienced freedom.
The piece of Sebastian’s mind that resided inside the Leviathon heaved a sigh of relief as he finally experienced freedom for the first time in his life.
Once he left the seamount, he no longer looked back. He was like an eaglet who finally grew to become a full-fledged adult eagle and was now allowed to spread his wings wide and soar the skies.
After the little tour that Sebastian had when his army looked for a place to erect their base after their first battle, he already had a faint understanding of this region and the Dungeon of Souls overall.
The gloomy green glow of the primordial origin essence, the occasional bright flashes of light that indicated battles between different parties, and the atmosphere of doom and war that was here never failed to impress him.
By now, he already had a pretty good idea of the Dungeon of Souls.
Because of this, he had a plan in mind already immediately after he left the confines of the seamount where his army was about to erect their first base.
The Dungeon of Souls was a war-torn region, swimming openly in public was a no-go plan since he would then be like a beacon of light in the darkness.
Most predators didn’t give a damn about his actual combat prowess so long as he was still a purple-tier predator.
To most survivors of this region, only a Red tier predator was a real deterrent factor, all the others were bonus factors.
This was the reason why Sebastian activated the invisibility ability of his unique skill to enable him to move anywhere he wanted without being exposed.
Sebastian had a goal in mind going into this hunt. He did not want to become embroiled in a battle where he had to fight thousands of orange tier predators.
Considering that his system already placed a penalty on the amount of experience that he could get from them, he lost even more interest in them.
In this hunt, Sebastian had few priorities and they were finding earth domain magicians while also using it as a training opportunity for him to flex his strength more to acclimatize with it as best as possible.
Before losing this region, Sebastian wanted to build a tyrannical reputation for himself which would eventually spill onto his army.
With a fearsome reputation, a lot of inconveniences that the army would have encountered in the future could be made convenient.
Since no earth domain magician was in sight, Sebastian easily decided to focus on his 2nd main priority first as he sought his first targets to attack.
In the muddy green-filled world of water where battles erupted every few kilometers, Sebastian navigated his way deep inside this region until he arrived at a location where he found a battle worthy of joining.
This time, it was a showdown between 8 purple tier predators.
Sebastian had no idea how these 8 predators met, but from the little that he could see, he deduced that they were all fighting to determine who would get his hands on the magic gadget that was beneath the cluster of rocks.
Once Sebastian detected this magic gadget, he developed an interest in it.
Of course, with OP gadgets like the Orb of Illusion, Sebastian didn’t have any use for a random magic gadget but his army definitely needed it.
After creating his army, Sebastian of course set up a contribution-reward system. Every mission accomplished by his warriors and every achievement attracted rewards in the form of contribution points.
These contributions points would be the main currency of the Sebastian Warriors Army for the nearest future.
They could be used to buy literally anything, ranging from magic gadgets, magic weapons, to even personal lectures from any of the army’s powerhouses.
For this system to work though, the warriors needed to be attracted to the rewards and the best way of attracting them was to fill the army’s inventory.
Filling it with random magic gadgets like this was a nice way to do it.
[You have activated skill: Mana Extraction!]
After having underused this skill for a long time, Sebastian started this battle with it. Once he started it, he felt like he suddenly turned into an evil devouring machine as he started sucking the mana of his opponents.
All 8 purple tier predators were startled by what was happening. Spooked, they turned only to see no one there.
Seeing no one left them feeling even more spooked as they started looking at each other suspiciously while retreating. The fact that even with all these their mana kept on decreasing shocked them more.
In no time, they already retreated a few meters from their target and Sebastian finally attacked. It was better to say he robbed them, not attack.
[You have activated skill: Supersonic Speed!]
The 8 predators only saw a blur, nothing else, but the magic gadget was gone.
Their eyes widened at first in confusion, then at surprise, then at realization before finally settling in rage.
ROAR!
...
[You have activated skill: Rasengan!]
Boom!
For the next 3 hours, Sebastian started a rampage of slaughter and robberies in this part of the Dungeon of Souls. He did everything that he liked since he still couldn’t see any of his main targets.
He simply did everything to enjoy this time of leisure here, because he knew that in no time, all these luxuries would be gone.
He was using this to train himself instead since no purple tier earth domain magician was in sight yet, he could only see orange tier predators mostly.
This continued for another 30 minutes as Sebastian continued his rampage, spreading a wave of death through this war-torn region.
He was like the death reaper that could not be stopped as his already tyrannical reputation kept on increasing without any hints of stopping.
Shortly before the 30th minute, Sebastian encountered another randomly lying magic gadget, and this time, the sight that he saw left him speechless.
2 massive crab-like predators were lying dead close to the magic gadget. From what Sebastian could see, he guessed that these 2 predators fought to the death to get this magic gadget and the 2 mofos ended up dying together.
"What the f*ck bro!"
While laughing at the ridiculousness of this situation, Sebastian swam closer to add this magic gadget to his repertoire when he suddenly felt something.
Vroom!
Sebastian’s consciousness shook a bit as a more powerful consciousness swept through him, almost knocking him into unconsciousness immediately.
Sebastian was alarmed, who had such a strong consciousness that just a mental sweep with it almost knocked him into unconsciousness?
At this moment, he activated his Combined Super Sensing and though he did not find too many details, Sebastian was horrified to discover that he may have entered the territory of a far more horrifying predator.
"Holy Sh*t, did I meet the 0.0000001% encounter?"
Sebastian turned to escape immediately only to hit an invisible wall. His heart was already beating rapidly as he got set to activate his strongest attack any moment from now.
The next moment, he felt a hot breath heating his body.
Sebastian froze completely.
For this predator to close the distance so suddenly without alerting him, Sebastian already knew that he was screwed. He turned around extremely slowly while trying to raise his limbs as a sign of surrender.
On turning though, what he saw left him surprised.
"BROTHER!" The almost 50 meters huge Leviathon exclaimed.
"Huh?"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"I FOUND MY BROTHER; I FOUND MY BROTHER!"
"What?"
Before Sebastian could react, the Leviathon slammed into him.
Bam!
"Oh, sh*t!" Sebastian was about to defend himself when he saw the mighty Leviathon still laughing in unrestrained joy like he just won a jackpot.
He was confused at first, but then he understood. "That’s a f*king hug? That’s the way Leviathons hug?"
Bam!
The Leviathon did it again but Sebastian endured it this time as the big fellow finally demanded. "FOLLOW ME TO MY HOME, BROTHER, I’VE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR YOUR ARRIVAL".
"Uh, ok".
