Chapter 460: Recruitment.
Captain Omega thought that he was a strong-willed warrior and he always felt proud of it, but as he looked at this Megalodon again, his worst horrors seemed to be manifesting into reality before him.
Captain Omega reacted like a frightened kid who watched a horror movie, his bloodied lips shook as his broken teeth clapped against each other.
Captain Omega’s reaction was at the very bottom of the spectrum, the 6 bounty hunters had an even more extreme reaction.
After being beaten to a near-death state where their consciousness was already hovering between life and death, they already lost everything but they still shuddered in fear as Sebastian’s ghostly pitch-black eyes stared them down.
Without them knowing, they already messed themselves up.
Seeing the embarrassing scene that was before him, Sebastian grinned before turning to face the metal man who coughed blood on feeling his gaze.

Pu! Pu!
The pitiful bounty warrior who stepped proudly on Tungsten’s body just a few minutes ago finally lost his life as the 2 teeth shot through his head, blasting his brains into oblivion and scattering his consciousness.
Sebastian already got fed up with seeing this fellow still alive, and now he finally completed the deed, ending his life for real to atone for his sins against Tungsten.
This scene caused all the others to swallow hard as they looked at the Megalodon. The fact that Goldie was hovering beside Sebastian alongside his Leviathon body did not help matters either.
All 6 of them that remained felt like they were in a court before the judge and were about to receive the death sentence.
As he looked at the Megalodon, Captain Omega finally felt a sense of regret about his mission rising from the very depths of his heart.
Though he tried to shrug it off, the feeling of regret lingered.
"Now, listen to me!" Sebastian suddenly declared, jolting all 6 of them to concentration. "Can we negotiate?"
On hearing this, they were all stunned.
Even Sebastian was stunned at what he just said. Considering that these 7 fellas almost brought an end to his friend’s life, Sebastian would have killed them already but at the last moment, his mind suddenly thought of the bigger picture.
What if instead of killing them so unceremoniously, he rather converted them into his side to help in his vision?
Sebastian didn’t just make this decision rashly, he thought deeply about it first. He got the inspiration first from looking at Captain Omega since he had already kind of accomplished the same feat with Doctor Josephine.
What attracted him first was the conviction that was shown by the captain, and the 2nd reason was the potential that Captain Omega showed.
Captain Omega lost his whole Division Fleet in the disaster of the volcano eruption, he lost all his soldiers. This was indeed something painful, but the captain had no obligation to avenge them.
Since he survived, Captain Omega could have simply decided to continue his life normally but instead, this captain rejected all the comfort and ran all the way here to hunt Sebastian to avenge his soldiers.
Sebastian loved only a few things, but he definitely loved this conviction.
Captain Omega’s motive and mindset appealed to him, and besides, the captain’s target for vengeance was misplaced in Sebastian’s perspective.
This was the reason why he wanted to speak to Captain Omega. He left the remaining bounty hunters alive to not mess up the captain’s mind completely, and besides, another plan for them was already cooking up in his head.
For 2 minutes after Sebastian asked his question, Captain Omega and the 5 bounty hunters were speechless. It took these 2 minutes for them to confirm that he was serious, they were stunned but it made them relieved.
Even for warriors of their caliber, they could not face death calmly.
They could not reply with their mouths since they were still petrified, so they simply nodded like chickens pecking at a cluster of corns. They didn’t have a choice since saying no probably meant instant death, so they all nodded.
"Good!" Sebastian smiled, revealing his deadly rows of teeth which only made them more terrified as they shuddered.
Sebastian started his negotiation instantly with the captain.
"Captain, defect from the Atlantian army and join my camp!"
"..."
"Now, before you lash out like a snake, let me speak". Sebastian grinned. "From the look in your eyes and what you said, you came after me to get revenge for your soldiers which is something that I empathize with".
"Your soldiers died unjustly; I agree with that since a lot of my brothers died the same way due to the volcano eruption disaster".
"Now, let me tell you this, the disaster was not my fault, it was your Empire’s fault, your Empire was the one who brought the doom of your soldiers!"
Captain Omega opened his mouth at that but he eventually remained silent.
As a soldier who developed, growing all the way to the captain rank in the Atlantian army, loyalty for his Empire was already ingrained in his bones which made Sebastian’s comments sound offensive but he restrained himself.
At this moment, Captain Omega knew that he had no power to interject which was why he held back his instincts and listened silently.
"I believe that you’ve heard of and seen the Orca Revolution, do you know the motivation behind it? Do you know why it all started?"
"In fact, do you even know the reason for Oceania’s existence?"
"No? I guessed so, now listen, the Orca Revolution is just a part of the storm that would soon engulf all of Oceania due to the race to get the Ocean Master".
The more he spoke, the more passionate Sebastian became as in a few minutes, he finished explaining everything about the impending disaster of the Ancient Cthulu and the need to get the Ocean Master.
In the end, he concluded it all with Atlantis’s selfishness.
"The Sages already made their choice; I am the Ocean Master candidate but your arrogant Empire refuses to admit this truth which is why they go after me".
"Their arrogance brought the death of your soldiers".
"This is just the start because their arrogance will continue to lead to the death of a lot more soldiers who have no idea of what is going on at the top".
"The arrogance of Atlantis will bring their downfall!"
After venting his emotions, Sebastian finally calmed down.
"Do you now know the real culprit who caused the death of your soldiers?"
"..." Captain Omega kept quiet but his eyes already turned complicated.
"I believe in your potential for greatness and I believe in your will and character to protect those you love, that is why I am recruiting you".
"I don’t know you much, but I know that you are better than blindly supporting evil when you see one".
"Remember this, the world will end in 2 years, it’s either you join my winning boat or you remain in the sinking ship called Atlantis".
"You saw how much stronger I became in just a few months, you are old, you are experienced and should be more aware of how abnormal this is".
"This should tell you how abnormal I am".
"I am not of this world!" Sebastian declared. "I am a transcendent!"
"Captain Omega, I ask you one last time, will you join me in my quest to save this world?" Sebastian looked into the captain’s eyes.
Captain Omega kept quiet as a lot of things went through his mind while he kept eye contact with the Megalodon.
At times, eye contact could convey a lot more than words, everything that Sebastian said sounded like a well-packaged piece of garbage story but for some reason, he felt that it was the truth.
Knowing of the Ancient Cthulu and other secrets of his world that he did not know before, Captain Omega felt like he was living in a cave previously.
From the eyes of the Megalodon, it was either Sebastian was a super actor or he was sincere, and this was enough for him to take the gamble.
"I accept your proposal".
Sebastian finally smiled as he turned to face the 5 bounty hunters. "Join my boat and the 5 of you get to survive".
"We accept your proposal!"
