Chapter 449: Assembling!
By the time the first stage of the experiment which was the dissection came to an end, the eyes of all the anatomists involved were opened.
Though most of them, including the renowned Doctor Craban, only worked as an assistant, they were grateful since just this work as an assistant opened the horizons of their minds to a lot of possibilities that they never thought of.
Completing the dissection of a Space Beast was a significant achievement. Not many anatomists in all of Oceania could claim of having achieved this feat.
And though their understanding of the Space Beast was not as expansive as Sebastian and the other 2 lead anatomists who got to work on it personally, they still gained a lot to increase their anatomy expertise exponentially.
The benefits of this dissection experiment were like the effects of creating a brand-new trailblazing Tesla electric car to an engineer, or a mech designer getting the privilege to work on a high-tier expert mech.
No matter the difficulties involved, so long as they succeeded, the experience would become a turning point in their lives that would increase their expertise.
The same happened to all the anatomists involved in this experiment.
Though the dissection phase of the beast was actually the hardest and was prone to a lot of damaging mistakes, the positivity in the main anatomy lab did the magic as it was completed without any major hiccups.
Now that this was done, 70% of the work was done already.
Sebastian already had all the knowledge that he needed; he could proceed with his living doppelganger creation immediately if he wanted but he insisted on the assembling experiment because he had other plans in mind.
Even though he already increased the base potential of strength and growth of his ultimate war vessel, pushing it to the very limits of what was possible, Sebastian still wanted more.
After being exposed to beasts that were blessed by the primordial origin magic like Space Beasts and Mana Lords, his eyes were opened to possibilities.
After a lot of thinking, he no longer wanted to end up with a simple Space Beast living doppelganger.
Sebastian was an unrelenting thinker, if he was not, he would have never succeeded in creating the ultimate abomination of his shark variant back on earth.
That achievement was back on earth where there was no magic which made it all the more significant, but in Oceania with magic, he could do more.
For a long time, Sebastian had theorized what he would do with the mutated magic organs that he got after every Red tier predator that he killed.
After killing a purple tier predator, the killer would get its mana core, but for killing a Red tier predator, the benefits were more and they included not only a mana core but mutated magic organs and other significant benefits.
Not many predators of Sebastian’s tier could boast of this achievement though, Sebastian was literally the only purple tier predator that could.
After killing his first-ever Red tier predator, Octumpedam, the Devouring Octopus, Sebastian got his first 2 ever mutated magic organs.
He got the systematic heart and the brain of the mighty Devouring Octopus.
Then on asking, he discovered that mutated magic organs could be used in creating magic weapons and gadgets but Sebastian was never into external gadgets. They were useful but he never focused on them.
This and a lot more reasons meant that he never got to use them for their intended purpose, and they could only hibernate in his system inventory.
But now, he finally got a use for them. What if, instead of using them for their intended purpose of creating magic gadgets, he rather put them in his ultimate war vessel to make them even more OP.
After his recent origin law comprehension increased, Sebastian theorized that his next living doppelganger creation would be even more OP but not to the strength where it could exactly contend with Red tier predators on equal ground.
The difference between the higher tiers was just too enormous to cross.
But what if he could grant his ultimate war vessel an advantage by implanting the organs of Red tier predators inside it.
It was common knowledge that the organs of Red tier predators were far stronger than those of purple tier predators.
Of course, Sebastian as a purple-tier predator could not create Red tier organs with his Doppelganger and Invisibility unique skill yet, but he didn’t need to.
He could just decide to implant them on the living doppelganger after he created it, that worked too.
This was why he wanted to make this practice on the Leviathon first. If he could succeed here, he would definitely be able to succeed with his ultimate vessel.
Octumpedam was not the only Red tier predator that Sebastian had ever killed though. Apart from the Devouring Octopus, Sebastian killed the Ancient Basilisk, and then the mighty Space Beast Leviathon.
From those last 2 kills, Sebastian got 4 other mutated magic organs.
From the Ancient Basilisk, he got its poison resistance organ and its poison fang. As for the Leviathon, he got its heart and its breath magic organ.
Now, Sebastian wanted to assemble all these inside the Leviathon, close it up and test run it virtually to see if the Leviathon could survive the load alive even if its lifeforce was lowered to the purple tier realm.
Once Sebastian declared the start of the assembly, all the anatomists went to work. After all the hands-on experience that they already got from dissecting the Leviathon, assembling it back was as easy as pie.
It was like assembling a piece of machinery back after dismantling it once.
Sebastian and his remaining 2 lead anatomists worked well in tandem like a well-oiled machine, they did everything in understanding and with outstanding teamwork which resulted in a perfect job after a whole day of the assembly.
Once the assembly was done, the mighty Leviathon was almost unrecognizable from when it was still alive, it was like it was never dissected.
Apart from the mutated magic organs, Sebastian didn’t forget his priority experiments as he also implanted the mechanical implant on the Leviathon.
After the completion of the assembly, one of the assistant anatomists finally switched on the super grade processing computer as Sebastian and his fellow lead anatomists tried to test run and see the effects of their assembly.
Through the computer, once Sebastian lowered the virtual Leviathon’s lifeforce to the purple tier realm, a lot of adverse developments came immediately.
At some point, the Leviathon almost exploded as it couldn’t take all that load.
In the end, a Space Beast was a Space Beast. They were blessed by the primordial origin magic and its effects were not trivial, they were special, they were tenacious, and they were unique.
After 2 hours of non-stop suffering, the Space Beast’s terrifying vitality came to the rescue as its body adapted in no time to the new and vastly powerful organs.
According to the computer, the assembly and its effects were a success.
The Leviathon survived the load of all the new and powerful organs.
On seeing this result, Sebastian heaved a deep sigh of relief. Of course, this was virtual and reality would have some differences but this reassurance was all that he needed to get the confidence to go through with his plan.
After this last test, the first major experiment of the 1st Den of Anatomy finally came to an end with massive success.
While the anatomists celebrated, Sebastian went into isolation.
