Chapter 426: Rewards.
When Sebastian finally regained consciousness, he was stunned.
He already had his own opinion and theory about what the Mana Lord subordinating skill was really all about, but after listening to the full explanation, Sebastian was floored completely.
The explanation was so bombastic and had so much significance than he expected that he was blown away completely, he was speechless.
"Life is really so..., complicated".
When he came to this world, all Sebastian came for was his own demon Kyuubi, what he did not expect was to get drawn into such high-grade matters that involved the primordial mana and even Oceania as a whole.
Facts that were just revealed to him like Oceania was a weapon, and the primordial origin magic was the consciousness was so high-level that he was left lightheaded after everything.
He was like, what the heck did I just hear?
After listening to everything that Eliana had to reveal about this world and planetary dimensions, he thought he could not be shocked again but this just revealed to him how naïve he had been.
"F*ck!" He cursed in his mind.
The mental image that this just generated in his mind was so impactful that despite how much he tried, he could not get rid of it.
He felt depressed, he felt like his childhood of ignorance was just defiled.
Despite how much prestige Mana Lords had in the outside world and the fact that the leader of this Manapedia was probably a Black tier Mana Lord, Sebastian was not resigned to just believe without confiding with Eliana first.
In his previous world, Eliana was the one who felt this way towards him, always wanting to get his validation before believing or doing anything but now, this role seemed to have been reversed.
This was inevitable seeing how many advantages that Eliana had over him ranging from connections to information, and then the all-important power.
For him to reclaim this role back, he needed to work hard, really hard.
Even though Sebastian wanted to just find a corner and sit down to think deeply about everything that he just learned, he didn’t have that luxury, the Induction Ceremony was still on and needed to see its end.
After getting his first reward which was the Mana Lord Subordinating skill, Sebastian finally received his 2nd reward which was stored in the tome.
To his surprise though, his prize was increased from 10 to 20 mana comprehension crystals. According to the Red tier Mana Lord, this was due to the legendary feats that he achieved in the strength test.
On seeing and feeling the 10 colorful crystals that glittered inside this magical tome, Sebastian’s body’s internal regulation relaxed, becoming smoother.
"I did it!" Sebastian applauded himself in his mind.
Though he already guessed the usage of the mana comprehension crystals from their names, Sebastian knew a lot more about them after finally getting to feel these magical crystals up close.
Sebastian didn’t know if these crystals were also formed from the primordial origin magic, but they were magically awesome in a way that appealed to him.
For a long time since knowing of origin laws, Sebastian tried different ways to increase his origin law comprehension of his skills but without any burst of inspiration, taking the slow and steady route was lifelong torture.
This was the reason why powerful predators could spend centuries just to achieve a breakthrough in their origin law comprehension.
In Oceania, the progressive path to becoming a pinnacle predator was not a day job, Sebastian was the only anomaly that challenged this rule.
Sebastian had always been worried about his slow speed of comprehension in the outside world, and even after he entered Manapedia where his comprehension speed increased, it was not to an outrageous level yet.
Even when knowing that he had a prime opportunity to increase it in the form of the Temple of Enlightenment in the Dungeon of Souls, this was an opportunity that was still ahead in the future, Sebastian had no immediate solution.
Well, this problem was just partly remedied with these colorful crystals.
Though he already understood their effects, the Red tier Mana Lord still took it upon himself to explain in detail to this foreigner Megalodon Mana Lord.
"The mana comprehension crystals can only be used in the Temple of Primordial Mana, so do not contemplate taking them outside".
"Each mana comprehension crystal can increase your insight and comprehension speed by 10 times inside the temple".
"Also, each crystal lasts for 2 hours before dissipating".
"With your 20 crystals, you have 40 hours to try your luck for a breakthrough in the Temple of Primordial Mana".
"You’ll have the opportunity to do that later though, right now is time for the last test of the Mana Lord Induction Ceremony, the Acknowledgement test".
On saying this, the Red tier Mana Lord swam up to a high enough height that both the 6 qualifiers and the spectating Mana Lords could see him clearly.
Then, he addressed the crowd.
"After about 2 days of treating our eyes to the enjoyable performance of the Mana Lords who participated in the ceremony, and the few visitors who qualified, including Sebastian, we are finally about to start the last test".
"Being the final test of every Induction Ceremony, the Acknowledgement test is the most important test to us Mana Lords".
"Once again, we are about to see if any of our youngsters would be lucky enough to deepen his relationship with the omniscient primordial mana".
"Wish them luck as they embark on this last journey after 2 days of showcasing their abilities, displaying at the very highest level".
As the spectating Mana Lords roared and shrieked at the top of their voices, cheering the 6 Mana Lords who were about to participate in this tournament, Tungsten, Strong, and the other Great White Sharks and Megalodons also cheered.
Amid all these cheers, the Mana Lord-shaped warship arrived to ferry Sebastian and his 5 companions to the core of this Manapedia.
The core of this Manapedia was called the Glowing Sanctum.
