Chapter 994: Chapter 994: Endure a Little Longer_1

Winter had been around for a while, and the deeper the night, the lower the temperature became.

When they came out of the restaurant, the sky had started to shower down a fine, dense rain that looked like silver needles under the streetlights.

Hannah, who had some drinks this evening, had a faint blush on her soft white cheeks, as smooth as cream. Her eyes were hazy, warm light spilling over them as her eyelashes fluttered gently. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

She lifted her head, looking at the man beside her with a bright smile, full of coquetry, and softly called out, "Arnold."

A light aroma of alcohol passed her nose, rendered even more intoxicating wrapped in her subtle fragrance.

Arnold took his coat and draped it over her, carefully wiping the raindrops from her brows, and gently asked, "How much longer do you want to stand here?"

The rain was becoming heavier, like crushed sugar sprinkled on the people, coating them with a layer of sweet stickiness before long.

She raised her head, looking into the deep night. The dense raindrops collected on her curly lashes, forming a frosty layer.

Blinking, the drops fell down, and her eyes shone black and pure, "Arnold, don’t you think it’s especially romantic to not use an umbrella in the rain?"

Arnold was silent, resigning to those sparkling eyes, he could only compromise and say, "Romantic."

Only then did Hannah satisfactorily get into the car.

The driver chose to ignore the scene he had just witnessed and dutifully started driving.

In the car.

Arnold took a towel and gently dried Hannah’s slightly damp hair, asking softly, "Why didn’t you tell me about the stuff on the internet?"

Hannah sat obediently, her gaze landing on the few buttons undone at Arnold’s collar. Her eyes full of innocence and ignorance, she feigned confusion, "What stuff?"

Arnold paused his movements, dropping the towel over the girl’s entire face and lifting it slightly, forcing eye contact with those dark orbs.

He pinched her face, her cheeks a petal-like beauty, red through white, soft and smooth to the touch, "Lying?"

The girl blinked, a thought dawning on her, and she took the initiative to hug him, her voice soft and slightly appeasing, "I was just teasing you. I can handle those things myself, no need for you."

She looked up at him, her lips moist and close at hand.

A faint fragrance caressed the face, probably coming from her lips.

An absolute seductress.

Arnold forced himself to stay calm, putting on an indifferent facade, "You’re my woman. You should tell me if any problems arise, there’s no need to be bullied by others."

"But they couldn’t bully me though," she countered, inching forward again, her lips occasionally brushing against his chin, leaving a faint red mark.

She then said, "Arnold, shall we go public?"

A warm breath rose from his chin, filled with temptation.

The man’s deep eyes were like the sea, focusing intently on her delicate face, "Would you really want to?"

"Want to what?" Hannah straightened up, realizing what he meant, and spoke earnestly, "You’re right about that."

At that, Arnold’s gaze turned utterly cold.

The person in his arms seemed oblivious to this, even going so far as to enumerate, "Although I never claimed to be single, I do have quite a few male fans. If they knew I had a boyfriend, they would be heartbroken, which would greatly reduce their enthusiasm for praising my beauty."

She sighed, concluding with, "The loss outweighs the gain."

She finished speaking, lifted her hands to cradle Arnold’s impeccably handsome face, kissed his cheek as if to console him, then pulled back and said seriously, "Mr. Simmons, how about you just bear with it a bit longer?"
