Chapter 928: Chapter 928: Consider Others_1

For three whole days, no one dared to approach the vacant lot in the backyard.

The children’s playground that was once built because of Jimmy Simmons had long since become a hell on earth, exuding a dense, nauseating stench of blood to anyone who drew near.

Occasionally, a servant passing by could hear the howling of vicious dogs from inside, like they were baring their fangs and emitting threatening sounds as they prepared to attack, their claws scraping against the iron cages with a piercing noise.

Just listening to it was enough to send chills down one’s spine.

For those three days, Jimmy Simmons did not allow anyone to deliver food, aiming to fully unleash the ferocity of the beast. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

He absolutely could not allow Arnold Simmons, this stain, to appear in his life.

On the third night, just when everyone believed Arnold Simmons was bound to die, a series of agonizing howls came from the backyard, and loud noises as if someone was being lifted and then slammed forcefully against the iron cage.

At this point in the story, Jimmy Simmons suddenly stopped, intently staring into Hannah’s eyes, expecting to see the slightest change within them.

Such as curiosity about the final outcome, or disgust and resistance toward Arnold Simmons.

Regrettably, those pure and clear eyes remained calm, without a single ripple.

Jimmy Simmons even began to wonder, what would she be like when alone with Arnold Simmons?

Hannah suddenly laughed, her eyes and brows filled with an innate innocence and charm, yet her gaze wrapped in coldness was directed at his heart, "Jimmy Simmons, do you always feel quite inferior?"

"Inferior?" He leaned in slightly, and the action appeared as though he was embracing someone in his arms, the fragrance at the tip of his nose as if it carried the warmth of body heat, "This is the first time someone has called me inferior."

He laughed, his eyes narrowing slightly, like a venomous snake baring its fangs.

But Hannah was fearless, with a smile on her lips and a hint of amusement in her tone, though the words sounded reflective, "You’re not as cute as you used to be."

Jimmy Simmons frowned slightly, pausing, sensing that the meaning behind Hannah’s words was not so straightforward.

But before he could delve deeper, the tie around his collar was suddenly seized tightly, a moment of suffocation paled his complexion as his body leaned forward.

About to collide with the person on the swing, Jimmy Simmons simply relaxed his body.

He wanted to try the feeling of holding her in his arms.

But before he could embrace the warmth and softness, his knee throbbed with pain.

The cold wind was bleak, blowing the thick clouds above together, chilling to the bone.

The man knelt awkwardly on one knee, forced to hold up his head due to the tie gripped by the person in front, like the most loyal believer daring to peer up at the high goddess before him.

He saw that she was deliberately opposing him, so his brows and eyes did not show annoyance, but instead carried a sense of obedient thoughtfulness, "Auntie Hannah, did you know me before?"

She gave a light chuckle, her eyes filled with the light of spring, her lips curved in a smile, her fair cheeks exhibiting a bright charm.

Hannah tightened the grip on his tie, slightly bowed her head to meet his gaze directly, but did not answer his question, her red lips parting lightly, "My dear nephew, although I understand you have some flaws in your personality, you can’t let your own deranged mind think about driving a wedge between your uncle and me all the time."

She sighed softly, her curled lashes trembling slightly, like butterflies falling from the cold wind.

Jimmy Simmons looked down, following the dark blue tie to the other end, where her delicate and fair hand was, truly like a piece of exquisite mutton-fat jade, "Auntie Hannah is still so young. Have you really decided so casually on the person you want to spend the rest of your life with?"
