Chapter 918: Chapter 918 Craving for Sweetness_1
"Weren’t you quite the troublemaker just now?"
The man’s impeccable handsome face wore a broken smile, his eyebrows lightly raised, seeming austere and cold, yet the words he spoke carried an intense heat.
Even a housecat would resent having its claws clipped by its loving owner, only to end up with scratch marks all over oneself in the end.
The young girl, when she strikes, truly shows no mercy.
Perhaps she really was a bit troublesome.
She hummed twice, sat up from Arnold Simmons’s body, brought her head close again with a soft and slow voice, presenting him with the question she cared about most, "Mr. Simmons, did you miss me?"
Her eyes, lined with eyeliner, naturally catlike, now seemed even more seductive and tender, a light glance capable of ensnaring anyone.
Arnold’s gaze darkened, even if his heart was in turmoil, he still maintained an appearance of calm and indifference.
HIs trim brows relaxed, and with callused fingertips, he gently wiped away the lipstick that had smudged on the corner of the girl’s mouth, his husky voice tantalizingly irresistible, "Want to hear the truth?"
She presented her lively and alluring face, cheeks like peach blossoms, her eyebrows and eyes slightly raised, hints of laughter shimmering in the mist in her eyes, she nodded coquettishly, "The truth."
Arnold caressed her soft black hair that cascaded down her back, his voice revealing a hint of danger, he asked again, "Are you sure?"
The girl, as if oblivious, shyly looked down, gently biting her lip, the color becoming even more enticing, "Mhm."
No sooner had she spoken than his hand rested on her soft waist.
Shards of gentle laughter settled in the man’s eyes, like burning twilight, his thin lips parted, pronouncing a sentence, "Then let’s do it one more time."
This was the truth.
Regrettably, the cost of the truth was time and energy.
She couldn’t help but shed tears, the warm mist cascading down, like a person trapped in a box with water pouring in, until no space is left.
Reaching out to break through the surface, yet being pulled down by someone.
She couldn’t help but curse at him, to which the man responded to each and every accusation.
His movements were nearly tender.
Like a child who’s received a cake for the first time, the cool sweet scent deserved the most patient savoring.
In the end, the girl complained with a voice soft and devoid of any deterring power, "Arnold, I don’t want you to miss me anymore."
She was somewhat regretful.
Arnold chuckled softly, his cheek against hers, "It was you who wanted the truth from me."
Hannah pouted, blinked with teary eyes, the tears falling and clinging to her eyelashes, like trembling flowers, "Is the truth doing it one more time?"
The answer to whether he missed her or not clearly only had two options.
He kissed away the tears on her face, seemingly with a light sigh, finally planting a kiss on her forehead, earnestly coaxing, "I worry that my delicate little girl might feel insecure if I only say it without acting."
Hannah was stunned, blinked.
Arnold reached up to pinch her cheeks, his eyes blazing as he gazed at her slightly pursed red lips, smiling, "After all, she’s someone who gets jealous even over a stuffed toy."
Hannah’s eyes widened, "Who said that, when have I ever..."
Before she could finish, she was silenced.
He bent down to kiss her, a soft, sweet cotton candy.
Upon touching water, it dissolved, the clear sweetness melting in the mouth, too reluctant to swallow, only to be savored back and forth.
"Ah, no, I was just talking nonsense," he said.
He embraced her, seeing the girl’s puffed cheeks, and continued to coax her.
So it went, back and forth.
Until Hannah saw through this man’s "sweet-tooth" nature and ran off with a blanket wrapped around her.
Before running, she deliberately stepped on him a few times.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have much strength, and pressing on his chest instead sparked quite a fire.
Arnold looked down at his disheveled shirt and chuckled softly to himself.
