Chapter 837: Chapter 837 No Sorrow_1

Fearing that she would be discovered and unable to leave, seeing Hannah’s childlike side left him with no choice but to nod in agreement, handing her a mask and a scarf.

No sooner had she wrapped the scarf around her neck than Hannah took it off herself, "I don’t want it; wearing this I won’t be able to run fast."

Having said that, she ran out of the car.

Jack Stewart could only follow with the heart of an "old mother", not forgetting to remind the assistant to keep an eye on the car.

Today was a rare day of good weather in the winter. It wasn’t raining and the sun made the grass look lush and green. If it weren’t for the cold wind, one might actually think it was summer.

It wasn’t long before Jack Stewart brought Hannah a kite in the shape of a butterfly.

It was the most common type, but Hannah touched it here and there as if seeing it for the first time.

Jack Stewart was curious, "Didn’t you fly kites when you were young?"

It was one of the many joys of childhood for many children.

Hannah’s first reaction was to sift through the memories of her former self before finally looking at her own past, lowering her gaze to the kite in her arms, "I’ve seen others fly them before."

This was the first time Jack Stewart heard Hannah talk about her past. His knowledge of her only began with her relationship with George River, "And after that?"

Hannah lifted her head, looking at the children frolicking and chasing each other in the distance, then stood up with a smile and said, "After that, I grew up, had money, had time, but I couldn’t find that interest in flying kites like I used to."

That’s probably how it is. When we are young, we always want to do so many things, have a room full of snacks, play in the amusement park all day long, eat as much ice cream as we want. If our parents disagreed, we would think that we’d indulge ourselves like that when we grew up.

But when we really grew up, we could no longer find the passion of our childhood days.

The kind of happiness that came from finding a pretty stone that could make us happy for an entire day.

Jack Stewart felt that Hannah must have been somewhat melancholy when she spoke these words, but the sunlight on her, made it seem as if she was amidst the blossoming of spring flowers.

Just recounting a very ordinary story.

Without melancholy, without sadness, but with tranquility.

By the time he looked up, Hannah had already blended into the crowd of children with the kite in her hand.

She truly had never flown a kite, trying several times unsuccessfully, frowning and puffing her cheeks, looking just like an innocent, naive child.

But before Jack Stewart could go over to help, a little boy suddenly darted out from the side.

The boy took the kite from Hannah’s hand with a cool expression on his face, said something, but his hands moved swiftly.

Hannah followed him with a smiling face, watching him skillfully launch the kite, and then complimented, "Matthew, you’re really good."

Matthew Quach turned around, thrusting the kite string into Hannah’s hands, "You’re just too clumsy."

Hannah ruffled his hair, "By the way, how come you are here?"

Matthew Quach fixed his tousled hair, "My house is nearby, I came to play with friends."

Hannah tugged at the kite string in her hand and then let out a longer length of it, "Who are your friends? Can you introduce me?"

Matthew Quach, with a cool face, reluctantly spoke, "There’s a generation gap between you; even if I introduce you, you won’t have much to talk about."

Hannah looked hurt, "Am I that old in your eyes?"

She blinked, standing against the light, and really seemed as if her eyes were brimming with tears.

Matthew Quach hesitated, "It’s not like that, actually..."

He struggled with how he should comfort Hannah.
