Chapter 785: Chapter 785: Partnering with Me is Not a Loss

But now the situation is different. Although there are still "couple fans" between Hannah and Hayes Edwards, there are much fewer compared to the number with Jackie Qualls.

That’s also why the company chose to let him go.

Owen Hanson looked rather upset, you could say that he was noticeably uncomfortable.

After all, with Hayes Edwards present, who would pay attention to him?

Owen Hanson was visibly dispirited and lost several games he played with Hilary Quin who then complained about him.

"We came from the same show, but the gap between us is rather significant."

Her voice wasn’t particularly loud, but Owen Hanson heard it and stiffened, not daring to say anything.

Contrarily, Hayes Edwards who was paired with Hannah, even though it was their first collaboration, the result was exceptionally good.

Seated on the ground, hair drenched with sweat, Hayes Edwards leaned back, panting heavily and raised his eyebrows at Hannah, "How was it? I told you, teaming up with me wouldn’t be a loss."

For today’s game, Hayes Edwards did his best to change the impression he had left on Hannah previously, so he put in a lot of effort, thus drenching his clothes.

Hannah handed him a bottle of water, shielding her eyes against the glaring sun, "Hmm, you are quite impressive indeed."

Hayes Edwards grinned confidently, "Of course, I am."

He unscrewed the cap and gulped down nearly half the bottle of water. Casually, he wiped his mouth with his hand, seemingly without any restrictions.

He certainly didn’t resemble the ’big brother’ whom the fans often spoke of as being delicate and in need of careful caregiving.

Hannah happened to bring up this matter again.

The mention of it immediately spoiled Hayes Edwards’s mood, "I’ve told them countless times, I’m not as weak as they think; I don’t blush at the slightest touch of a woman, nor do I become depressed easily when I get scolded. I’m happiest when I’m acting and making money. Still, they insist on picturing me as this pitiful little fellow."

Hayes Edwards was slightly exasperated talking about it.

No matter how often he repeated these sentiments, his fans would just think he’s pretending to be happy.

In the end, he got tired and stopped bothering about it, letting them think whatever they wanted to.

Recently, however, there had been some improvement of the situation, not from his fans, but from another group that was even crazier than his own fan base.

Hannah asked curiously, "Who?"

Hayes Edwards looked towards Louis Synder on the other side, "Obviously, it’s our nation’s younger brother. You didn’t know?"

Seeing Hannah’s bemused expression, Hayes Edwards shook his head, "You really have become slow after living in the mountains."

Hannah didn’t hold back and kicked Hayes Edwards on his leg.

Hayes Edwards didn’t avoid her kick, but took it with a grin, yet, he went on to explain honestly, "Nation’s younger brother is a persona that Louis’s company created to showcase his innocent, kind, and unsullied image. Doesn’t it sound ridiculous?"

As he said this, Hayes Edwards even shivered a bit.

Hannah straightforwardly acknowledged it, "But it must be popular, right?"

"Yes," Hayes Edwards couldn’t help but laugh, "Louis’s fans think of him as the last ’pure-hearted’ boy at the end of this century. They protect him like he’s angelic. I used to find it funny that my fans didn’t allow me to interact with female artists, but when compared to Louis’s fans, that’s merely child’s play."

Well, he only needs to avoid some overly intimate actions.

In contrast, Louis’s fans berate even a single female artist showing up by his side for three whole days and nights with new angry rants each time.
