Chapter 770: Chapter 770: Easy to Get Involved
After several rounds, he had been doused with water numerous times and his clothes were mostly wet.
Pineapple Head was standing on the sideline laughing so hard that his stomach was showing.
The atmosphere was festive.
Because Louis Snyder’s hand was injured, he couldn’t take part in any games involving water, but ironically, today’s games were all water-themed.
Under the sunshine, the girl’s skin shone like pearls, with droplets clinging to her curly lashes. With a gentle blink, she looked as if she was glowing.
"I’m not going back." Louis insisted, emphasizing his words, "At least not now."
The young man’s tone was cold, not seeking any compromise.
Brother Davis had no choice but to agree. Before hanging up the phone, he warned Louis, "Stay away from trouble, and away from the female guests on the show, do you understand?"
Without giving a reply, Louis hung up and headed towards the crowd.
Hilary, having lost the game, was sitting on the side, retouching her makeup. Her makeup was quite heavy that day, aiming to compete with Hannah.
But to her disappointment, after several rounds, Hannah appeared as a refreshing goddess emerging from the water while she, Hilary, had ended up looking like a wicked stepmother with smudged eye shadow.
"It’s infuriating, why is her makeup still perfect! How did you all apply my makeup!"
Hilary was complaining to the makeup artist.
The makeup artist felt somewhat wronged and murmured, "Well, she has good skin."
Hilary widened her eyes and said, "What are you muttering about?"
"Nothing." The make-up artist shook her head with a forced smile, hiding her real thoughts.
She knew Hannah’s makeup artist, they had chatted a few times and she had seen Hannah without makeup.
Hannah’s skin was like a teenager’s.
But she dared not say these things in front of Hilary.
Because Hilary’s makeup was ruined and they didn’t have time for a complete redo, the artist could only do a patch job, just enough to cover the flaws for the camera.
Competing with Hannah in terms of looks was out of the question.
It would never happen in this lifetime.
Hilary knew it, but her jealousy was uncontrollable.
Looking up, she saw Louis heading her way. She dismissed her makeup artist and decided to initiate a conversation, "Louis, how is your wound doing?"
Louis glanced at her, his attitude somewhat cold, "It’s fine, thank you for your concern, senior."
Hilary was not the type to fawn over someone who gave her the cold shoulder. Seeing that Louis’s attitude was no different from before, she gave up on him.
Noticing him looking towards Hannah, she smiled mockingly, "Hannah and Mr. Qualls do make a great team. They’ve barely lost any games. As expected of people who’ve acted together. Looks like the fans are in for a treat."
Laughing at her own remarks.
The youngster’s face remained expressionless, but his eyes turned icy in a fleeting moment. His harmless countenance hid his jealousy and resentment.
Unfortunately, Hilary hadn’t noticed Louis’s change in demeanor and continued to add fuel to the fire, "Hannah was so lucky to get to work with Mr. Qualls in her first acting experience. I heard that those acting in a romance for the first time often put their real feelings into it. Even a Film Emperor like Mr. Qualls was moved, I guess Hannah must have felt the same. Her previous rejections might have just been because she felt undeserving of Mr. Qualls."
