Chapter 766: Chapter 766: Not a Single Movement
Pineapple Head bit his finger. On one side there were toys, and on the other his good buddy. With great loyalty, he chose the latter and sat down, "I will wait with you."
Seeing that the girl couldn’t convince them otherwise, all they could do was find more people to watch over the two children and find someone to ask when Hannah and the others would return.
As they walked away, they lamented, "If my younger brother were half as good as Matthew, I would not have to beat him every day."
After waiting nearly for three hours, Pineapple Head could no longer resist the sleepiness and was carried back to sleep by the staff. Matthew was still sitting on his chair waiting.

Having waited for so long, Matthew had risen from his chair and was playing pettily with the small stones on the ground. His cheek was bulging, he was likely still holding his breath.
He didn’t even notice when James approached.
James had not interacted much with Matthew, other than the occasional conversations they had when he was with Hannah. He was under the impression that Matthew was a child who didn’t act his age.
Matthew looked up at James who had just come to him, and pouted, "You don’t need to persuade me, I won’t go back."
James was expressionless, "I didn’t plan to persuade you, I just came to have a look."
Matthew, who had prepared something to say to dissuade him, was taken aback. Finally, he asked hesitantly: "Then why did you come here?"
James brought two stools over, sat on one himself, and gave the other to Matthew, "To wait with you."
Matthew looked at the stool James had arranged for him. He hadn’t noticed it before, but after standing for so long, his legs were indeed a bit uncomfortable. After thinking for a while, he finally sat down.
And so, the number of people waiting increased from one to two.
The staff member, who was waiting in the distance for James to bring the boy back, was helpless.
The countryside blanketed in night always seemed extraordinarily peaceful. As if under this darkness, anything can be hidden, and little creatures that are active during the day start to move.
Feeling the atmosphere was too heavy, Matthew blurted out, "Uncle Landon, do you like my sister too?"
He turned to look at the person beside him.
James had perhaps been too focused on writing songs lately and had not had time to take care of his hair. His naturally long bangs now covered almost his entire eyes.
James gave him a glance, didn’t say a word, but there was a slight ripple in his eyes hidden under his bangs.
Matthew always believed he had acute judgment of others, so even though James didn’t answer, he started to converse with himself, "See, Uncle Snyder likes my sister so much that he even used the excuse of going to the hospital to take her along. Uncle Qualls likes my sister and even chased her here. You also like my sister, yet you haven’t made a move."
When he finished speaking, he advised him in a mature tone, "You will be single all your life this way."
After hearing this, James finally reacted. He silently looked at Matthew, then shifted his gaze to the vast rice fields in front of him, "I wrote her a song."
He still seemed to be a man of few words.
