Chapter 751: Chapter 751: Not Very Clear-headed

"Returning to Prideful?" Hannah asked in a soft voice, "But I do not like to feel beneath anyone."

George River furrowed his brows, and after a long pause finally spoke, "No one will surpass you."

Hannah looked at him, "Not even Tiffany Lynch?"

An almost negligible struggle flitted through George River’s eyes before he nodded in agreement.

"Mr. River is still as ruthless." Hannah cast her gaze away, appearing somewhat bored. She stood up, "The terms are rather appealing, a pity someone has beaten you to it." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

George River’s expression abruptly changed; he asked angrily, "Who else has proposed such things to you?"

The circle they were in was always filled with chaos. Wealthy men like George River, few of them had true self-restraint. Arnold Simmons might be considered an exception.

Most tended to keep several paramours for pleasure and for the bragging rights it afforded them.

Hannah had long been the object of many desires. Especially since George River had just listened to the men around him discuss her; naturally, he thought that someone would come forward with an offer to keep Hannah.

This commotion soon drew the attention of others.

Everyone looked over to see an elegantly poised woman standing there. Her beautiful brows, her bright red lips, under the dark shadows, radiated boundless charm.

No wonder the usually aloof heir of the River family would lose his composure.

Many people looked over, but were quickly deterred by George River’s icy gaze and retreated back to their places, no longer daring to look over.

George River’s focus returned to Hannah.

She simply gave a soft chuckle, her voice tender, "Mr. River, that’s not for you to question."

George River clenched his fists, covered the distance in two to three strides to catch up with Hannah, latched onto her wrist and his suppressed voice full of fury demanded, "Hannah Winter, do you really think of yourself as a commodity?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted them. Looking at those eyes filled with laughter, he felt irked.

"Hannah Winter, there’s no one better than me..." for you.

The surrounding individuals gasped in shock.

Before he could finish his sentence, a glass of red wine cascaded down his head. He was enveloped by the rich aroma of wine, and his particularly dark eyes remained unusually calm.

Hannah put the empty wine glass back in its place, and smoothly withdrew her hand, her lips curving into a faint smile, "I think, you’re probably not thinking clearly."

Having poured a glass of wine over George River and accused him of unclear thinking, Hannah was probably a unique case in their circle.

This now made those previously unfamiliar with Hannah somewhat curious about her. A few female celebrities in the circle thought Hannah was being ungrateful.

Humiliated as such by Hannah, there would definitely be repercussions!

Indeed there were repercussions, and they were handed over by George River himself.

Furious to the point of laughter, he reached for another bottle of freshly opened wine. Just as everyone thought he was about to retaliate, he instead passed the bottle of wine to Hannah, "Is this enough? If not, there’s more."

The long marble table was neatly lined with several bottles of wine, each one quite valuable.

Hannah accepted the wine bottle from him. The wine bottle lightly nudged his chin, her lips as soft as fire, and her words exceptionally gentle, "George River, I never knew you had such a hobby."

When the second bottle of red wine poured over the man’s head, mere shock couldn’t describe the scene anymore.

Yet George River remained steadfast.
