Chapter 741: Chapter 741: Loyal Dog

Hannah gently poked at Jinlian’s belly, watched it roll over, and then said, "You forget, there’s also Jimmy Simmons."

Jinlian shifted its bottom, its claws protecting its belly, "But Vincent seems very obedient and likes you, the master."

It pondered. Considering Vincent’s current attitude towards his master, it was like a loyal dog in a novel—only having room in its eyes for one person, wanting to follow wherever that person went.

Complete, mindless protection.

Hannah put down the comb in her hand and looked at the mirror, "You said it yourself, that’s Vincent."

Vincent isn’t Jimmy Simmons, the plot’s mainline can’t be altered.

Jinlian still didn’t understand, shaking its head, "Aren’t they the same person?"

Hannah shook her head, looking at Jinlian’s puzzled expression, she couldn’t help but laugh, muttering, "You’re still too young."

Jinlian was indignant, so upset that it began to cough uncontrollably. It couldn’t speak, only watching pitifully as Hannah got up and walked away.

Soon after, the phone rang. Jinlian saw the caller ID and immediately shut its mouth.

If not for the escalating derailment of the plot, it would truly believe its master yearned to live happily ever after in this world with the villain.

Or maybe, there was such a possibility. They might even have a child together.

With this thought, Jinlian accidentally glanced at Hannah’s belly, filling its eyes with sudden terror.

As the Old Man said, the most horrifying thing was a child!

Jinlian was spooked by its own imagination, hugging its tail tight, sending frantic messages to the Old Man in its mind.

——Help! My master is going to have a baby! Urgent!

After a long while, a response finally came back.

——Really? It seems our dear Jinlian is about to go bald. That’s great.

Jinlian was infuriated!

He knew this finicky cat was up to no good!

Having no choice, Jinlian had to fend for itself. It felt the need to make its master realize its importance.

So, it decided——to run away from home!

The little fur ball jumped off the dressing table, glancing back at Hannah while running towards the door, ready to confront the pure white door.

Thud——

A faint crash echoed. Hayes Edwards glanced around but found nothing unusual, so he straightened his clothes, fluffed his hair, and walked in.

Behind the door, Jinlian slid down the wall with a stupefied look on its face. Its messy fur shimmered in the breeze as it landed on the floor with a smack.

The dressing room was specially requested by Teresa Gordon for Hannah, with a slightly larger area than the standard ones.

As Hayes walked in, he didn’t see anyone at first glance but heard a girl’s soft voice, filled with a flirty tone, chatting with someone.

Hearing that voice, Hayes nearly collapsed, quickly covering his face, "Pathetic, it’s just a smooch, and it’s not even for you, why are you getting so excited!"

He muttered to himself, head down, oblivious to when Hannah had walked out.

Hannah looked at Hayes who was lost in thought with surprise, "What are you daydreaming about?"

Hayes jumped, almost losing his balance. In a rush, he grabbed Hannah’s hand.

Soft to the touch, he couldn’t help giving it a squeeze before he slumped onto a nearby chair.

Looking visibly disheveled, and face flushed. However, he didn’t let go of her hand, holding on tight.
