Chapter 735: Chapter 735: Taking Over

"Things change fast in that social circle, there are several new young girls who have recently joined, they all look decent. The next time we have a party, I’d like to invite some of them to join us, they would love that."

"Wow, so you’re already holding two, and now you’ve got your sights on more?"

The rich second-generation guy just smiled and said nothing, cradling the two women in his arms with even more reckless abandon.

Immediately someone chimed in, "Isn’t it obvious? He’s got his eye on that Hannah Winter. I mean, look at her face, and her figure. What man would be able to resist? Can you say you haven’t thought about it?"

"But wasn’t it said that Hannah was with someone from the Simmons Family before?"

The guy sneered, "The guy is dead, should such a beautiful little lady just mourn for him for the rest of her life? To be blunt, this is all just for fun. Maybe the little beauty is even now eagerly looking for her next attachment. If you guys don’t want her, I don’t mind stepping in." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

While they were merrily chatting, suddenly a loud crash erupted at their feet.

Some were cut by shards of glass that splattered everywhere.

Before they could even vent their anger, they saw George River coming over, an icy expression on his face. He was holding an empty wine bottle, his voice devoid of warmth, "Step in? Who do you guys want to touch?"

Several of them turned pale and stumbled over their words, not daring to say anything. Though they were not exactly terrified of George, they still had to consider his powerful River Family backing him up.

George’s eyes easily bypassed the group. He tossed the beer bottle aside, picked up his coat from the ground and walked out, "The next gathering, I don’t want to see these people."

Immediately, someone escorted him out.

Once he left, murmurs gradually filled the room.

Someone spat on the floor, speaking bitterly, "Damn it, who does he think he is? When the guy from the Simmons Family was still around, he didn’t even dare to fart. What kind of authority is he pretending to exert among us!"

Someone else cautioned, "Enough, say less. After all, he is the Eldest Young Master of the River Family, not someone we can afford to provoke."

The atmosphere eased a bit, although those who were singled out earlier were still sulky and took several gulps of drink to nurse their anger.

everyone else tried to shift the topic. Someone puzzled, "From George’s tone just now, it seems like he was defending Hannah Winter? Didn’t he have a girlfriend with a surname Lin? Did he change his heart?"

Someone was skeptical, "They’re all men, just playing around. What’s so strange about liking this one today and that one tomorrow? Maybe he did that just to piss off Arnold Simmons."

The person shook his head, disagreeing somewhat, "I heard George and that girlfriend of his was childhood friends and have known each other for many years. He wouldn’t just... "

"Why not? They’re all the same sort of people. Do you think, just because he, George River, has a handsome face, he’s a dedicated lover?"

The private room in the club always gave people a disorientating sense of losing track of time. Only after stepping out and seeing the blinding sun did George realize something.

He had been in there for almost half a month.

Dazed and confused, not knowing what day it was. Only when he got himself drunk could he see that familiar figure in his dreams.

She was smiling at him, gently taking his hand and leading him into their "home".

The table was full of warm food, and the Rosa on the windowsill was in full bloom.
