Chapter 723: Chapter 723: Yes or No
Hannah flipped over in Arnold Simmons’ arms, lazily opened her eyes, "I have to go to work."
Arnold lowered his head and planted a kiss on her face, "If you’re tired, sleep a little more."
Hannah shook her head, sat upright in the man’s arms, laughed sweetly at him, "How am I going to support you if I don’t work?"
Arnold recalled his darling girl boasting about supporting him in the past.
She was as capricious as ever.
He played along with her, "It would cost too much to support me, I’m afraid you’ll work yourself to death."
She shook her head, leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She pinched his face, satisfaction filled her twinkling eyes, "It’s okay, you’re so good-looking, it’s worth spending any amount."
Teresa Gordon was knocking on the door outside, but this time her knocks were much more urgent, "Hannah, are you awake? Respond!"
Arnold grabbed Hannah’s swinging foot and put her shoes on.
"I’m awake." Hannah called back, and the knocking finally ceased. She looked back at the man in front of her, opened her mouth in a giggly smile, "Arnold, does it feel like we’re having a–– secret affair?"
She stretched out her voice, her eyes crinkling, her makeup-free face was a combination of innocence and seduction. Her eyes were enticing, like a daffodil and a rose, stunning no matter how you looked at them.
Arnold locked eyes with her sparkling mischievous gaze. His cold expression hid his amusement.
He tightened his grip on her foot, causing Hannah to lose balance and fall with a thud into his arms.
She yelped out in pain, "ow–– you’ve hurt me!"
After gasping in surprise, Hannah clutched her head, casting a reproachful look at the man in front of her, her warm breath spreading across his neck.
Arnold squinted slightly, his lips pursing, supressing his rising urge. He reached out to touch Hannah’s forehead, "Where did you hit yourself?"
Before Hannah could respond, Teresa was calling her from outside the door again.
Probably alarmed by Hannah’s earlier cry, Teresa’s voice turned shrill, "Hannah, what’s wrong? Talk to me, are you hurt? Open the door, let me see!"
Teresa always has been overly concerned about Hannah’s wellbeing, worried that she might hurt herself and it would affect her performance.
Hannah, hands on the man’s chest, smiled teasingly, her voice sultry but a jest none the less, "Gotcha."
There wasn’t a scratch on her smooth forehead, it was as pale and soft as tofu.
Arnold concealed his amusement, gently tapped her head with a finger, his voice calm and aloof but oddly indulgent, "Becoming more and more mischievous."
Their current position added a layer of suggestive meaning to their actions. The desperate knocking from outside seemed ready to break in at any moment.
Finding no response from Hannah, Teresa, fearing an accident, ran downstairs to get a spare key from the front desk.
Hannah still nestled in Arnold’s arms, her vivid eyes full of innocence, her naive charm adding an enticing charm to her face.
She giggled again, looking down at the man in front of her, her lips inches from his, her voice seductively playful, "Mr. Simmons, do you still want to kiss me? Once I go to work, you won’t see me for a long time."
As she spoke, she let out a sigh.
