Chapter 711: Chapter 711: Stop Laughing

Despite the shouts behind her, Hannah walked step by step, ultimately stopping in front of Vincent.

She reached out her hand, lightly tapping his forehead, "Stop laughing, it’s hideous."

That one sentence made Vincent immediately stop his smile, pressing his lips together tightly. He looked pitiful, nothing like the fierce beast from moments ago.

He muttered unclearly, "Not ugly, Vincent not ugly, Hannah, don’t be afraid."

As he spoke, he tried to smile again, but remembering Hannah’s words, he forced himself to suppress the curve of his lips, leaning his head towards Hannah’s hand.

He was making peace, withdrawing the prickliness that covered him, showing only one person his soft underbelly.

Hannah, don’t be afraid of him.

He wouldn’t hurt Hannah.

These two sentences were the only things written in his clear black eyes.

Hannah looked down and met his gaze, her eyes brimming with tender affection. Her laughter was light, her eyes flickering for an instant, "How nice would it be if you could be this adorable when you’re awake?"

Vincent blinked, full of confusion, as if he didn’t understand Hannah’s words. He foolishly said, "Vincent is Hannah’s, forever."

Hannah averted her gaze, a smile light as cloud on her face, "No one truly belongs to anyone, forever."

Vincent just stared at Hannah, fixedly.

Something seemed to occur to her, and she laughed brightly, "Only my beauty will always belong to me."

No matter how many physical appearances she might assume, her beauty was etched into her soul.

This time, Vincent understood. He nodded vehemently, "Hannah, beautiful, very beautiful."

He stared blankly at her. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Hannah complimented him, "Very obedient."

Having been praised by her, he wished he could do somersaults on the spot.

Excitement suddenly erupted at the entrance, George Quach arrived late and instantly spotted Hannah in the crowd, along with Vincent by her side.

This was George’s first time seeing Vincent. He had heard over the phone that Hannah had found a partner, and he hadn’t given it much thought, assuming him to be just an ordinary villager.

But on the way there, someone told him that the man Hannah had found bit one of their assistant directors. And from his current look, he didn’t appear to be a normal man.

George quickened his steps, directly crossing the crowd to Hannah.

Seeing the newcomer, Hannah seemed to have anticipated this, but before she could speak, George grabbed her shoulders.

"Are you hurt, what happened, did they bully you?" George asked anxiously, his gaze fixated on Hannah.

It was the first time Hannah saw George this anxious and worried.

When they first met, he was shy like a university student, but he was rigorous when it came to professional matters, particularly when engrossed in his work.

She found it amusing, watching him a bit more before saying, "What could possibly happen to me?"

George remained worried, "They said someone got hurt, I’m worried about you."

Once he finished, he looked back at Vincent behind Hannah, his face full of caution.

Locking eyes with George, Vincent didn’t back down. He opened his mouth, revealing his blood-stained teeth, "Hannah, mine."

He uttered this statement, word by word.

George’s brow furrowed even tighter, "Is he the shadow Matthew Quach saw before?"

It was a question, but the tone was sure.

Benjamin Wilson hurriedly came over to explain everything.

The undertone of his words indicated a sense of remorse, saying it was their fault for not keeping an eye on him, which was why he got loose.
