Chapter 710: Chapter 710: Not a Fool

Vincent rose to his feet and limped behind Hannah. His entire body was on high alert, his gaze sharp like a savage beast ready to pounce from the bushes at night.

Their village had their own customs; taking the law into their own hands was the most normal thing in their village, especially towards an idiot whom nobody would care for even if he was beaten to death. But Hannah was different.

Not just Hannah, there were so many people from the production crew today and so many cameras around that they dare not lay their hands on Hannah.

Unsure of what to do, the men could only look to Benjamin Wilson.

Regaining his senses, Benjamin saw that Hannah was already standing in front of Vincent. He rushed over to urge the other men to put their sticks down, saying, "Miss Winter, don’t put me in a difficult position, this is an issue in our village. He is just an idiot and it really isn’t necessary for you to defend him."

Having said that, he glared fiercely at Vincent standing behind Hannah.

To his surprise, Vincent glared back just as intensely, appearing even more menacing than Benjamin. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Benjamin could only grit his teeth and looked away, gesturing to the assistant director to quickly lead Hannah away.

The assistant director stepped forward, his voice tinged with a hint of hostility. "Hannah, don’t interfere, everyone is waiting for your shoot, don’t waste everyone’s time. This is their village matter. Us outsiders should not interfere."

"Outsiders?" Hannah looked at the assistant director, her lips curling slightly, unnerving him and causing him to take a step back. "I believed I made it clear. Vincent is my partner for this segment, didn’t you hear?"

The assistant director laughed awkwardly and ignoring Hannah’s words, turned to Benjamin and said: "Quickly, get rid of this idiot. Don’t hold up the filming process."

Benjamin looked conflicted, torn between his uncle’s words and the fear of upsetting Hannah.

Seeing that Benjamin was hesitating, the assistant director was becoming frustrated. He decided to take matters into his own hands. "You... you fool, hurry and get... Ah! You, you beast!"

Just as he reached out to grab Vincent, he felt a searing pain on his wrist.

Vincent bit into his hand with all his might, ripping off a piece of flesh. Blood painted his mouth. "Vincent is my name, not an idiot... not a beast!"

Speaking slowly and painfully, fresh blood flowed down his chin. He glared at the assistant director, who was groaning on the ground clutching his wound.

He had a name given by Hannah, he was not an idiot, he was not.

Everyone at the scene was shocked, especially the fellow villagers.

In their eyes, Vincent had always been a helpless fool who wouldn’t resist no matter how he was bullied. Even if he was pushed into the river or down a slope, he would just get up, dust off his pants and move on.

Never before he had resisted, no matter how grievously he was hurt.

Yet today...

Without realizing it, everyone distanced themselves from Vincent in the corner.

The production crew tried to pull Hannah away, but the bloodthirsty gaze from Vincent, coupled with his blood-filled mouth, was terrifying.

No one dared to approach. Someone had already gone to inform George Quach.

Perhaps sensing the fear from those around him, Vincent finally reigned in his bloodthirsty aura. He turned around, grinning exaggeratedly at Hannah.

His eyes were still the usual bright and clear black, except when paired with bloodstained lips, it was bizarre no matter how one looked at it.
