Chapter 706: Chapter 706: Found the Candidate
It was the sweetest smell in his memory, but now that Hannah was here, it seemed he had forgotten that scent.
Hannah, hand in hand with Vincent, headed inside. The assistant director wanted to stop them, but remembering George Quach’s instructions, he didn’t dare say a word.
Hannah had influence, she was a main focus of the show, and her relationship with George Quach meant that even if she acted like a diva every day, no one would dare complain.
It was just a fool, he could tolerate that.
But what happened next, he couldn’t tolerate.
Hannah, still holding Vincent’s hand, led him to her seat, and then moved another chair across from him.
She pointed to the lump of clay on the table and asked, "Can you mold clay?"
Vincent cocked his head, not understanding.
Hannah explained further, "It means playing with clay."
This time, Vincent understood. He poked the clay on the table, picked up a lump, looked it over, then tossed it at a crew member with a wooden stick in their hand.
The scene fell silent, only Vincent’s somewhat slow voice echoed out, "Play... that’s how they played with me."
They would use rocks, use clay, and sometimes use dead rats.
Using rocks would hurt, but with a dead rat, he would be happy because he wouldn’t have to go hungry that night.
After Vincent had thrown several lumps of clay, the assistant director finally couldn’t hold back and walked over, "Hannah, get this idiot... get him out of here. We still haven’t finished today’s shooting, and you will have to find someone in the village to help you complete the task later."
Hannah sat in her chair without moving, glanced at him, and smiled, "I’ve already picked someone."
The assistant director was taken aback, "Who?"
Hannah pointed to Vincent who was still playing with the clay, "It’s him."
The assistant director was so shocked he almost shattered his glasses, "Hannah, he’s a fool, how are we going to edit him into the final cut?"
They had already selected a candidate, the village chief had given him a couple of bottles of good wine, implying his nephew, Benjamin Wilson, likes Hannah.
He remembered Benjamin looking very honest and simple when they entered the village, so he had agreed.
It was just a game partner, a role that didn’t amount to much, he did have some say in the matter.
But now Hannah said she wanted to choose this fool as a partner.
He wasn’t worried about Benjamin, but how would they broadcast this? Have the audience watch a fool play with some clay?
Hannah looked away, took some finished clay work prepared by the crew to show Vincent as a reference, "How you edit it is your problem."
With the reference, Vincent started to imitate the moves, it seemed he really intended to help Hannah complete her task today.
The assistant director was so angry he felt like smoke was going to come out of his head, he didn’t believe a fool could help Hannah complete her task, even if he could, what difference would it make.
The assistant director emphasized, "No, you have to change your partner."
Hannah glanced him, a light smile in her eye that for no reason made people feel a cold chill on their back.
This sound startled Vincent, but when he realised what was happening, he threw away the clay in his hand, positioned himself in front of Hannah, his eyes round, making a "hulu" sound, looking as though he was ready to pounce at any moment.
The assistant director took a step back in fright, quickly pulled a crew member to shield him, his voice trembling, "Hannah, look at this fool, who knows if he carries any diseases, what if he goes crazy and hurts someone?"
