Chapter 702: Chapter 702: You’re Right

Louis Snyder was only looking at Hannah.

She was standing under a tree, light and shadows gently fell across her eyes and eyebrows. Her gaze moved over Louis and landed on Matthew Quach at last, "Matthew, stop messing around."

"Me, messing around?" Even when facing the camera, Matthew had no intention of holding back his temper. He glanced around and finally knocked over a palm-sized stone, "Are you interested in him?"

Hannah looked at him, "You’re only seven years old, where did you learn to say such things?"

Matthew couldn’t help but choke a little, mumbling, "I knew it, you women fall in love with every man you see."

Mimicking Hannah’s demeanor, he folded his arms and couldn’t help but peek at Hannah when he didn’t get a response. He saw her talking with Louis and couldn’t resist huffing.

Hannah’s gaze fell on Louis, her face passive, "Are you hurt?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Louis, looking somewhat weak, mustered a smile, "I’m fine, he didn’t mean it."

He showed his already reddened back of hand, looking rather dreadful. From her angle, Hannah had a full view of it.

She timed her move with precision, just as the film cut.

Hannah shifted her gaze, appearing indifferent like an emperor watching the concubines fight for his favor, feigning ignorance. "Hmm, you’re right. He’s just a kid, he didn’t mean it. Don’t mind him."

On hearing this, Louis was taken aback. He saw that her expression didn’t change, so he let out a light laugh, seemingly self-deprecating, "Hmm."

Hannah turned to find Matthew, who was still sulking.

Compared to his peers, Matthew was smart, but he was still a kid. Against Louis, this black-hearted white lotus, he was clearly outmatched.

Once Matthew started losing his temper, from a cool adult-like demeanor, he transformed into a little devil, almost ruining the shoot.

This was the first time he felt wronged like this and wished he could challenge Louis then and there.

In the end, it was Hannah who placated him.

Well, it wasn’t exactly placating.

To Matthew, she only said one sentence, "If you’re tired and you want to fuss, go ahead, I’m not going to coax you."

Matthew immediately stopped, complaining in a low voice, "you clearly never tried to coax me."

When Hannah looked over, Matthew quickly shut his mouth.

Throughout the scene, Louis felt like an outsider watching Hannah, but he couldn’t get any closer.

He looked down at his still flushed hand, scoffed lightly, his harmless smile still intact but his eyes shadowed.

He obediently followed Hannah around, keeping silent. He just listened quietly to the conversation between her and Matthew.

Matthew must have been affected by the earlier incident. He temporarily dropped his cold affectation and went on a tirade.

Hannah only occasionally responded with a word or two, but even that sent Matthew into a victorious delight, flaunting it at Louis proudly.

Louis didn’t react, keeping his focus on Hannah the entire time. He would actively help out, but most of the time he was just like an introverted and shy little brother.

At least, that was how it came across on camera.

Even the staff couldn’t resist discussing, "Is Louis Snyder constantly revolving around Hannah Winter because he likes her?"

"Unlikely, he’s probably just trying to hype up a couple pairing, haven’t you seen it before?"

Someone voiced their doubt, "Isn’t Louis Snyder’s public image that of a pure-hearted youth? Isn’t he afraid of shattering it with this couple pairing?"
