Chapter 701: Chapter 701: Now Likes Me More

He straightened up, his eyes filled with reluctance, but ultimately, he was mindful of the camera and held back his desires.

Only then did Hannah speak, "You decide. If you want it, then take it."

Having said that, she started to walk forward.

Matthew Quach walked up to Louis Snyder, raised his gaze to the man before him and abruptly said, "Big brother, stop following my sister. Can’t you see she’s annoyed with you?"

His expression was one of distress, a rare moment where he acted his age.

Louis lowered his head, his harmless facade in front of Hannah now gone. He narrowed his eyes and in a dangerous tone asked, "What did you call him?"

Matthew, unfazed, crisply responded, "Sister."

Louis chuckled then his smile gradually frosted over, "I don’t think she claims a big brother like you."

Perhaps because there were no cameras, the atmosphere between the two grew increasingly sharp and frosty, neither conceding to the other.

Matthew managed to suppress a smile, "You’re older than I am, yet you also call her sister. Don’t you feel embarrassed at all?"

Louis didn’t get angry, a gentle smile ever present on his lips, "I’ve been calling her sister for two years now."

Matthew frowned, seemingly troubled, but soon broke into a smile, gloating, "So what if you have? Even though you’ve known sister longer, she likes me better now."

Louis kept quiet, watching Matthew’s triumphant expression, his own expression shadowed.

Feeling that it wasn’t enough, Matthew sneered maliciously, "Big brother, don’t believe me? I can prove it."

He turned around and called out to Hannah.

Hannah was busy exchanging secret passwords with the old lady at the door following the game rules. Unfortunately, the old lady had poor hearing and was squinting, her speech laced with a heavy accent, "Girl, what did you say?"

The seventh attempt.

Hannah took a deep breath. As she was about to speak, she heard Matthew call her name. She had to walk back, "What’s up?"

Matthew tried to look weak, "Sister, I can’t walk anymore. Can you lend me a hand?"

He extended his hand towards Hannah, completely unlike his usually cold and prickly self.

Hannah crossed her arms, most likely wondering what prank the little brat was about to pull.

Matthew glanced at Louis standing next to him, then returned his pleading gaze to Hannah, desperately trying to give her a hint.

Hannah frowned, but finally extended her hand, "Just this once."

Matthew was pleased. As he was about to grab Hannah’s hand, someone else beat him to it.

To have his hand held by another man again, Matthew was so angry he felt like he was about to explode.

But Louis acted as though he hadn’t noticed, smiling at Hannah, "Sister must be tired after walking so long. Matthew, why don’t I help you instead."

Before Hannah could reply, Matthew started to protest, "I don’t want you to help me."

"Who asked for your help!" Matthew struggled free, his hand smacking Louis’s.

Despite the lack of force, the slap sounded particularly loud. Louis immediately covered his hand, his expression seemingly pained. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Hannah looked just in time to see Louis’s eyes, filled with distress yet feigning courage.

His face adorned with a facade of innocence, was indeed beautiful. It’s a shame that his heart was not.

Matthew was dumbfounded, "What are you playing at? I didn’t even use much strength."

This was probably the first time he had encountered such a situation.

Louis just smiled and gently spoke to Hannah, "Matthew probably didn’t mean to do it. Sister, don’t blame him."

Matthew was still cursing Louis for his shamelessness on the side.
