Chapter 682: Chapter 682 Why Can’t I

The strength of his award-winning acting career would likely not be heavily affected.

However, even with an award-winning actor shielding them, there have been countless online rumors about Hannah and Hayes Edwards, combined with the couple fans between them, both of them being idols, at a time when they should be avoiding these rumors; why are they rushing headfirst into them now?

"I heard that the original regular guest for the program was Hayes, but their team’s manager was worried that the program would set him up with Hannah, so they temporarily replaced him with Owen Hanson. What’s going on now?"

Brother Davis was perplexed on his own.

But Louis Snyder didn’t hear what he said afterward.

All his attention was focused on the fact that Jackie Qualls was also going to be a guest.

His expression gradually cooled, "Obviously, my sister has already said she’s not interested, and yet he still keeps seeking her out. Older people really know how to let everything go."

Brother Davis didn’t hear clearly, "Louis, what did you say?"

"Nothing," Louis shook his head resolutely, "Davis, I must go on this show."

Brother Davis was helpless, "Alright, I’ll try again, but remember to keep a distance from Hannah once you’re on the show. I’m afraid the show might use you to boost their ratings. Also, Teresa Gordon isn’t someone to be trifled with. That woman is practically guarding Hannah like the apple of her eye, afraid others might not know she’s the jewel of their company. She was the same when I worked with her before..." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Louis was expressionless, his head bowed as he gently caressed the watch on his wrist, "Will Jackie Qualls be there too?"

Brother Davis looked over, "Given Jackie Qualls’ status, the producers of the program would be only too glad to have him. This works out well, with him there, no one will link you and Hannah together."

He was relieved.

But Louis suddenly stood up, his overly long sleeves just covering the deep blue watch on his wrist, "Even if we’re linked together, so what? If Jackie Qualls can do it, why can’t I?"

He didn’t like seeing Hannah’s name linked with someone else, even if it was someone Hannah had already rejected.

Hannah’s name could only be linked with his.

Davis opened his eyes wide in shock, "Louis, do your words mean what I think they mean? You can’t possibly... You can’t possibly have feelings for Hannah, can you?"

As he said this, his face was full of shock, "My God, you shouldn’t emulate Jackie Qualls, you know. You’ve built an image of a pure and innocent single young man. Even though we’re actors, you’re just starting out and you need the support of female fans, you know. You definitely shouldn’t be in a relationship, you know..."

Louis entered his room and closed the door.

From outside the door, Brother Davis was still shouting, "... Even if you must be in a relationship, don’t go for Hannah, aren’t you just courting death?"

There was no response from inside the room.

The lights in the room were off. The heavy curtains were tightly drawn, blocking out any light.

The young man sat leaning against the door, tightly hugging his legs, his head bowed, he seemed helpless like a wounded beast, with a strong taste of blood coming from his clenched lips, and a resolute and cold tone.

He murmured to himself, "Why not?"

Late in the night, the temperature in the mountains dropped sharply. The wind was whistling as if carrying chunks of ice.

The wooden door creaked, sounding a bit harsh in the quiet night.

Matthew Quach in the room turned over and wrapped himself tighter in the quilt, yet he still hadn’t woken up.

Hannah exited the courtyard, walking on the small rural cemented path, her hair spread out, her face clear, her eyes hinting at fatigue.
