Chapter 676: Chapter 676: Do You Have a Sister Complex?

She resembled a mean stepmother who blocking people from finding love.

The light from the room fell on Matthew Quach, and highlighted the redness in his eyes, "You’re not allowed to look at him."

Hannah shifted her gaze and waved to George Quach outside, "You should go back first."

Only after Hannah said this did George finally decide to leave, but he couldn’t help finding Matthew’s fiercely protective demeanour amusing.

He’s still just a kid after all.

In the courtyard, Matthew was still standing on the stool, making him almost same height as Hannah.

Hannah’s eyes fell back on Matthew, she asked him, "Matthew, are you overly protective of your sister?"

Matthew pouted, pretending to be fierce, and adamantly denied, "No."

Hannah asked again: "Then why are you meddling so much, aren’t you worried about getting older before your time?"

Matthew glared at her, this time without coming up with any harsh words, "Overprotective or not, that man is clearly up to no good. He’s definitely harboring indecent intentions, taking advantage of his position to harass you!"

She was amused by his reaction, so she stretched on her toes and ruffled his hair, "Aren’t you wise beyond your years?"

Hannah walked into the house, Matthew hastily jumped off the stool and followed her, mumbling, "I’m already seven this year." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Hannah made no comment, poured herself a glass of water, "So do you know how old I am this year?"

Matthew was taken aback for a second, then burst out, "Fifty."

Shortly after came Hannah with a cheeky response, "Seems like you’ve grown tired of living."

Matthew, clutching his head, kept close to her, "Even if you’re decades older than me, I won’t mind. I call you sister, can you promise me to stay away from that George, and that Owen Hanson? They clearly are no good."

Hannah raised an eyebrow, "If they’re no good, who is?"

Matthew raised his chin, pointing to himself.

She laughed lightly, soothing him, "Matthew, be a good boy and go back to your room and sleep. Later, Sis will tell you the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

Matthew frowned.

He never believed in fairy tales, but if Hannah was telling it, he could reluctantly listen to it.

Hannah could read Matthew’s mind and added lightly, "Tonight, Sis will tell you the story of how the seven dwarves got their legs chopped by the king, and how the prince stole Snow White’s dead body."

She was laughing, her laughter radiant.

Matthew, however, couldn’t help but shiver. After a while, he cursed himself for actually having been scared by Hannah.

But by the time he had recovered, he had already been pushed out the door.

He had no other choice but to go back to his room.

As soon as he closed his eyes, he had a nightmarish dream of seven legless dwarves dancing around him, their faces as white as paper, they looked like demons.

And, he woke up terrified.

In another room.

As soon as Hannah lay in bed, she took out her phone and video called Arnold Simmons.

The call rang for a while before it was picked up.

Hannah was initially feeling drowsy from waiting, but when she saw the image on her phone, she became wide awake. Blinking her eyes, she softened and her voice became coy.

She called out, "Arnold."

Her eyes, however, were glued to the man’s chest.

The water droplets there hadn’t been dried off and were gently rolling down with his breathing, following the lines of his muscles, all the way down and disappeared somewhere further down.

But before Hannah had a chance to enjoy the view, Arnold leisurely tightened his bathrobe, even tying the belt tightly around his waist.

He didn’t leave any gap.
