Chapter 655: Chapter 655: Showing Courtesy

"...Let’s put a pin in that for now. I mean, Owen Hanson’s fans aren’t any better than Hayes Edwards’..."

Jack Stewart smirked, hardly able to keep a straight face as he continued, "Just take Owen’s agency for instance. They’ve constructed this ’straight man’ image for him. The dude’s almost thirty and his agency is still promoting this persona. Isn’t it hilarious? Do straight men have to pretend nowadays?"

"What about the others?" Hannah asked after closing her compact mirror, "Those kiddos, specifically."

Upon hearing this, Jack hurriedly handed over the prepared folders to Hannah.

He had done extensive research, examining the personality traits and hobbies of two boys and one girl.

Hannah flipped through a few pages before returning the files to Jack with a headache, leaning back on her chair with closed eyes, "Too much to digest."

Jack was thoroughly exasperated, "My dear, you’re finding it bothersome now, but what on earth possessed you to take on this television program in the first place? I’ve also heard that the first episode will be filmed in the mountains. What are you going to do? You can’t even cook"

Upon saying this, Jack launched into a torrent of worry, endlessly nagging until they arrived at their destination. Then he finally shut up.

In a private room... 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Owen Hanson arrived earliest, smiling brightly yet humbly at the camera as he presented gifts to each of the three children.

The oldest boy, with his pineapple haircut, who was eight years old, was a foodie. He was easy to please — just feed him. So, Owen had specially prepared loads of snacks for him.

The only girl, Phoebe Sherton, appeared to be an obedient doll, a bit shy and timid. She loved everything related to princesses, and tended to blush when talking to strangers.

Therefore, Owen brought her a princess dress.

With two gifts, two children were appeased, leaving Owen somewhat smug.

Looking after children couldn’t be that hard; his agent was definitely overreacting.

With this in mind, Owen walked toward the last child, Matthew Quach, gifts in hand.

Unlike the other two children, Matthew had no reaction upon seeing the gift. He was quite mature, wearing a suit and maintaining a meticulous hairstyle, with a completely expressionless face.

Owen pushed the gift slightly forward, "Matthew, don’t you want to unwrap your gift?"

Matthew maintained his aloof expression, his voice childishly innocent, "I don’t like being called ’Matthew.’ It sounds silly"

Owen: "..."

For God’s sake, are children this hard to deal with nowadays?

As he fumbled for a response, Matthew spoke again, "Never mind. Just call me Matthew Quach. It’ll make you seem more polite."

Owen lapsed into total silence.

Did I really need a child to tutor me on manners?

Are all kids this annoying nowadays?

Matthew Quach, not getting a response, looked to a pouting Owen Hanson and frowned, "Are you silently calling me annoying in your mind?"

At this, Phoebe Sherton looked up, blinked her round eyes, and questioned in a milky voice, "Brother Matthew Quach, what does ’annoying’ mean?"

The pineapple-haired boy interrupted, "It means a turtle with fur."

Phoebe covered her mouth, looking genuinely horrified, "That sounds disgusting."

The two children chattered back and forth happily.

Hanson fought for a smile, "How could that be? I was just thinking...Matthew...Matthew Quach, you’re really cute."
