Chapter 645: Chapter 645: Date
The intrafamily feud had made pandemonium for the Simmons Clan, paving the way for the River Family. Although they didn’t gain much, they left considerable trace.
Jimmy Simmons had been missing for quite a while. There was neither sight of him nor his body, leaving his share of stakes in limbo.
Considering the timeline, it was high time he showed up.
Having dealt with the last piece of business, Arnold Simmons changed his clothes to go out.
Night had fallen.
It was the busiest time at the amusement park, with many workers stood at the entrance clad in mascot costumes. Mostly couples visited at night.
Hannah pulled up her face mask as she walked past the corner. Underneath a large tree, someone was waiting for her.
She ran towards the figure cheerfully, like a child who spotted a beloved toy.
Arnold Simmons opened his arms wide, into which she joyously leaped.
He heard her soft voice, slightly panting, calling him, "Arnold."
Probably due to rushing, a few droplets of sweat formed on Hannah’s forehead. When she noticed no one around, she discreetly pulled down the mask covering her face.
Though the sun had set, the remnant heat from the ground still made deliriously uncomfortable.
Arnold took a handkerchief and gently wiped the sweat off the young girl’s face, gazing intently as he whispered, "You don’t need to rush, I’m here and I’m not going anywhere."
"I didn’t want to keep you waiting," she replied, rubbing her face against the handkerchief, acting as affectionate as a kitten.
Noticing the slight dark circles under her eyes, Arnold softened his tone, "Are you tired?"
"Not at all."
Hannah shook her head, seemed to remember something, took out a small mirror from her purse, and examined her reflection.
Her makeup was perfect. She looked stunning.
Turning to Arnold, she asked with her cherry-red lips, "Arnold, do I look good?"
Arnold nodded. His deep eyes met hers, his smile full of indulgence and helplessness, "Yes, you’re the most beautiful."
He had already grown accustomed to her occasional capriciousness, even found joy in indulging her.
Her eyes twinkled with excitement as she pulled him along, "Arnold, let’s go on the roller coaster today. I’ve never been on it."
Whatever Hannah proposed, Arnold agreed.
Arnold, now dressed in casual attire, looked no different from an average couple, save for his strikingly handsome face.
The amusement park at night seemed even livelier than during the day. All around were exhilarating rides and vibrant colors. The magnificent castle in the distance was as dazzling as a fairytale world.
The cheerful music and joyful cheers echoed in the background.
They had only walked a few steps when Hannah tugged at Arnold’s sleeve.
Arnold looked down at her. His slender eyebrows and eyes glimmered in the colorful lights of the theme park. With an indulgent look, he asked, "What do you want now?"
Hannah’s eyes sparkled with a pure, sweet grin. She pointed at an ice cream cart nearby, "Arnold, I want ice cream."
She ordered the man standing beside her quite naturally.
Arnold looked up to where she pointed, then gently guided her to a bench. "Wait here."
Hannah dangled her feet and clutched his sleeve, "You’ve got to come back quickly."
Arnold nodded and stepped into the crowd.
Perhaps he didn’t frequent such bustling places often. Even from a distance, Hannah could sense the cold vibe emitting from him.
