Chapter 641: Chapter 641: Sincere Invitation

Speaking earnestly, he stood up again. "I truly think you would be a perfect fit for this show, which is why I came to invite you specifically. I hope you will consider it."

For his first variety show, George Quach poured all his heart and soul into it, controlling every minute detail.

He told Hannah about the pros and cons of the show without any reservation.

He knew that Hannah, with her current celebrity status, would have had better offers. Nevertheless, he still wanted to give it a try.

Quite a while passed, and just when George thought he would be refused, Hannah suddenly broke the silence.

She opened her lace fan and gave it a gentle sway, her expression calm and collected as she addressed the somewhat anxious young man before her, "Teacher Qi, have you ever seen me perform on stage?"

George was taken aback.

He didn’t fully grasp what Hannah meant.

However, he made it a point to thoroughly learn about each of his desired participants for the show, not just about Hannah’s performances, but even her interviews as well.

What he liked the most about Hannah was her authenticity; she wasn’t afraid to offend people, and the general public held a high tolerance for her.

Perhaps it was due, in part, to her beauty as well.

Upon hearing her question, George nodded in agreement.

Hannah, her lips painted with velvety lipstick, lifted the corners of her mouth into a teasing smile. "So, what do you think of my performance, teacher Qi?"

George lowered his head in contemplation before answering with utmost sincerity, "Near perfection, very beautiful."

As he spoke these words, there was no hint of flattery.

Whether it was flattery or genuine praise, so long as it was a compliment of her, Hannah loved hearing it.

Interest piqued, she leaned forward with one hand supporting her chin, her eyes unblinkingly fixated on the young man across from her. In a soft, excited voice, she asked, "Is it me who’s beautiful, or is it the stage?"

Suddenly finding himself locked in Hannah’s dazzling, even more radiant than starlight eyes, George nearly wished he could dig a hole to hide his blushing face.

After a while, he managed to stutter out, "Both you and the stage look good."

Straightening up, Hannah’s smile faded considerably. She lightly tapped her lace fan on the table, "Teacher Qi, did you major in arts?"

George nodded, albeit slowly.

With an exasperated sigh, Hannah’s eyes filled with disappointment, "I thought you would have used more impressive and refreshing words to compliment me. I didn’t anticipate such monotonous praise. Even my little fans are more creative."

The sudden change in topic didn’t seem strange to George. In fact, he felt somewhat guilty, "I’m sorry, I’ll remember that next time."

Somehow, the conversation had strayed off course, likely because George genuinely felt remorseful for not praising Hannah more eloquently.

For the rest of the time, Hannah was introducing her dedicated group of fans to him.

—— Ah! My beautiful Hannah, your beauty is like the glorious sun on a clear day, reaching every corner of the world. More than that, your beauty is like a flower blooming in the night, so mesmerizing that one can’t look away.

After reading these messages, George furrowed his eyebrows in contemplation.

However, Hannah seemed more than satisfied.

The author of those lines was, only three days ago, a rich second-generation who was only interested in eating, drinking, and having fun. His compliments used to be limited to "Hey miss, you’ve succeeded in capturing my attention," so his present progress was indeed considerable.

Hannah continued to read many more comments, her mood growing more delighted. Like a child who had just received a new toy, she couldn’t help but share this excitement with others.

By the time Teresa Gordon rushed over, Hannah had George read up to the hundredth fan comment.
