Chapter 634: Chapter 634: Complaint
She continued her harsh tone, "Do you seriously think that without Hannah Winter, your few million votes from the formation night would make you an overnight sensation?"
Megan Shaw was silenced and couldn’t retort for a while.
She was one of the members at the bottom of the team’s ranking, hence, her resources were not that great.
Although "Shining Star Journey 2" was fairly popular during its broadcast, the craze diminished once the show ended.
Just as when one moves away from the limelight, the popularity faded instantly.
In talent shows like theirs, the fan base is usually fixed. If you can’t keep up with the exposure afterwards, naturally, the popularity won’t rise. Megan was understandably upset as to why Hannah was so lucky.
She felt it was due to Hannah Winter’s radiance that stole their thunder.
Another member, Ellie Smith, tried to mediate after observing on the side for a while, "We were all just joking around. Don’t take it to heart."
After speaking, she signaled with her eyes to bring Ginny and Heather Harrison into the discussion.
These two had originally entered the team by rigging, although they were not cut in the end, Teresa Gordon’s decision drastically reduced their standing in the group.
They were still harboring grievances towards Hannah.
After all, if it hadn’t been for her fans causing a scene, their potential scandal would not have been exposed.
"Yeah, yeah, we’re all a team here, let’s give each other some slack. It’s true that Hannah’s resources are quite good."
"It might get better in the future, though Hannah isn’t around too much these days."
Megan was usually wary of Lucy Taylor, but now that others were expressing their dissatisfaction as well, she gained confidence. "Stop pretending to be the good guy. Can you honestly say you weren’t annoyed, that you willingly danced backup for Hannah Winter?"
"Do you think everyone’s like you?" Lucy Taylor scoffed, "Whether you achieve success or not is your own responsibility. If it weren’t for Hannah Winter, you’d all be nobodies. Besides, according to our contract, don’t you share a part of the money that Hannah earns?"
With these words, she silenced all of them.
According to the team contract, during the signing period, whoever makes money has to share a part of it evenly among the team members. This is to ensure the solidarity of the team and prevent anyone from being too individualistic.
However, the presence of Hannah questioned this rule.
She was just too popular.
Since no one else was talking, Lucy Taylor added another comment, "Instead of wasting time, you should practice more. Messing up on stage, even ghosts would run away from your off-key performances, let alone win over people’s hearts."
As she finished speaking, she turned around and walked away, halfway through leaving she yelled out, "Sunny Lee, aren’t you coming?"
Sunny Lee looked at the others, their faces not looking too good, she hesitated before following Lucy Taylor.
Megan complained in frustration, "If I had known this earlier, I would have preferred Tiffany Lynch as our center! She was so dominant, why didn’t she just kick Hannah Winter out directly?"
The other team members echoed her sentiments.
Regrettably, Tiffany Lynch was not doing well herself, leaving her without the energy to deal with Hannah.
Because of her previous apology, she hadn’t had any engagements or exposure for a while. Even if her news appeared online, they were only mocking her past vote rigging scandal.
Nowadays, she spent her days either in her room or the practice room. The only chance for her to face the camera again was when Hannah came back to film the team variety show.
