Chapter 535: Chapter 535: Round and Round
Every inch of her body was covered, save for her small face, yet even so, one could still sense the inherent charm that seemed to emanate from her bones.
It was neither artificially contrived nor vulgar. Probably the best to describe it would be—her seductiveness was naturally ingrained.
Such a person, even an unintentional smile, was full of charm and allure.
She could captivate anyone, yet remained unapologetic and did not regret it.
Jackie Qualls had been acting for more than a decade. Intimate scenes were naturally unavoidable. He must have shot hundreds by now and had long since become a master of his craft.
Even if he appeared lost in passion on the surface, his heart remained undisturbed.
Only today...
When she merely stood there, without even uttering her lines, he became distracted.
Even Director Lee, a good friend of his, couldn’t help teasing him, "It seems that years of your self-discipline broke at the hands of a young girl!"
Although he was mocking, it was the truth.
Jackie Qualls had been a monk-like figure of abstinence for years. Not even the paparazzi could dig up a scandal about him despite tailing him for months.
His love life was a blank slate. He had worked with many actresses—talented and gorgeous ones alike. Even if their on-screen chemistry sizzled, off-screen, it was as if they were strangers.
This was the first time Richard Lee had seen Jackie Qualls actively call for a stop in an intimate scene.
Especially in a non-contact "intimate scene".
"I reckon, you tripped up this time."
Jackie Qualls stayed silent for a while, then replied, "Let me rest for a while."
It rained that night, everywhere was muddy. The pool’s water quickly dirtied. The crew had to busy themselves with changing the water, leaving no one to hurry him along.
Director Lee waved a hand, "Alright, you take a break. But there’s something I need to tell you."
Jackie Qualls looked over, his voice indifferent, "What?"
Director Lee smirked, "If worst comes to worst, you can try getting to know each other off-camera, rehearse together. Then you won’t be so passive when the cameras start rolling. It’s not like anyone in control of this sort of thing."
As someone who’d been through it, he understood.
The younger ones these days kept everything bottled up; even their words are all roundabout, making those around them worry about them.
The scene went on till late into the night before it finally wrapped up.
Tiffany Lynch only stayed long enough to watch half of it, she left abruptly without even saying goodbye. She didn’t look too pleasant as she left.
In a scene meant for three, she didn’t have the chance to come on stage. Everyone thought that Hannah Winter would be the one messing up frequently, but who would have thought that the first one to call "cut" would be the famed actor Jackie Qualls.
Even the crew on set began discussing how the famed actor was acting strangely today. Some even speculated that there might be something going on between these two.
But someone made a fair point, "They say that once two people become involved in real life, they lose their passion in front of the camera. After all, they know each other too well off-camera."
This sounded a bit far-fetched, but it also seemed to make some sense.

Hannah claimed she was hungry. Jack Stewart, though he grumbled about actresses needing to maintain their figures, still ordered some takeout.
Since the drama crew had booked the place, they had to pick up the takeout themselves. In the meantime, Hannah went back to the hotel alone.
She changed out of her wet clothes and just towel-dried her hair. She planned to shower once she back at her room.
While waiting for the elevator,
Hannah looked at her phone and saw three unread messages.
- Big sister, is your new drama going smoothly?
- Take care of yourself.</p
