Chapter 483: Chapter 483: Sing a Song
He didn’t take offense, that means there’s room for negotiation.
The investor let go of May Hoffman’s waist immediately.
Hoffman’s face stiffened a little, but she still took the initiative to introduce, "President King, this is Hannah, my college classmate. Isn’t she beautiful?"
President King’s eyes nearly popped out of his head, "Beautiful, indeed beautiful."
Hannah leaned back. Her straight and long legs crossed each other, blocking the man’s view further down. She just looked at May Hoffman and slightly curled her lips, "What happened to my old classmate? She wasn’t like this a few days ago."
Hoffman knew Hannah was insinuating something, laughed it off, "Everyone has to seek a future while they’re young, right?"
Hannah curled her eyebrows and eyes, "I understand if you are using yourself to seek a future. But if you are using others, that’s not okay, right?"
When she said this, Hoffman’s face immediately turned sour.
Hannah lowered her voice, murmuring, "I never noticed before that you had the potential to become a madam."
Only Hoffman heard this.
She stared directly into Hannah’s jet-black eyes, pure and bright, but full of malice, sending chills down the spine.
Hoffman gave a forced smile, picked up President King’s hand, "But how do you know, that isn’t what they want? I’m just the matchmaker here, doing a good deed."
President King laughed and slapped Hoffman’s face gently. Hoffman immediately got the hint and poured him a glass of red wine, looking triumphantly at Hannah across from her.
They were all trainees who already had a fan base and potentially successful candidates. This added one more condition.
It had to be mutually consenting.
But there were those who toed the line for security or to guarantee a smooth road to stardom.
For a while, the private room was filled with excessive indulgence.
While some were shamelessly flattering, there were others who showed their cold face.
Lucy Taylor was one of them. Sunny Lee was like a quail, hiding behind Lucy, her gaze constantly fixed on Hannah with concern.
She wanted to leave.
But she didn’t dare to.
Especially because Hannah was still here.
Lucy Taylor could leave directly since she was signed with Flourishing, just like Tiffany Lynch who didn’t even bother to show up.
But she was worried about Hannah and so she stayed.
Hoffman leaned against President King, slightly unsettled by his gaze constantly landing on Hannah, but she became slightly relieved, remembering her aim for the day.
She took the initiative to suggest, "Hannah has always sung well in the show, why not give me a face and sing a song today?"
As soon as she suggested this, the others started egging her on.
President King directly joined in, "I have always been your, Miss Winter’s, loyal fan. It’s rare that we meet today, it’s only right that you sing me a song."
"Why don’t you sing a song for President King, Hannah, it’s okay, just sing the one you wrote in the show."
The show’s producer also persuaded her. But seeing Hannah’s eyes curving towards him, he panicked, pretended to drink water to ease his embarrassment.
Hannah looked at Hoffman, deadpan, "I never liked giving face to people."
Hoffman’s face turned sour, "It’s just singing a song."
Hannah smiled softly, "If I sing a song because you ask, then if later I ask you to do a pole dance, would you also give me face?"
Hoffman paused for a moment, President King on the side clapped his hands," This is a good idea, May, weren’t you just learning a while back? I thought you danced quite well, why don’t you dance later for everyone to boost the mood."
