Chapter 427: Chapter 427: Waited for Half an Hour

True love is naturally priceless. But for a replaceable person, a small bit of spending money can be casually dispensed and purchased with. How can they be of any great importance?

It’s like when you casually give a beggar your meal money on the street. The beggar might be grateful to you, but will you remember it?

Certainly not.

Hannah didn’t harbor any resentment towards the rich, nor did she have any specific opinion towards third generation riches like George River. After all, who doesn’t love money?

However, she was struck by something the original host failed to realize.

What you treasure might not necessarily be as valuable to others.

Hayes Edwards waited in Hannah’s path.

Hannah was in a rush to remove her makeup when she saw Hayes and stopped in her tracks, "What’s up?"

Hayes nodded, his voice somewhat muffled, "I’m going home."

Waiting for some time now and it being summer, Hayes’ face had become a bit sunburned. However, it didn’t affect his handsome appearance.

Hannah didn’t think much about it, she gave him a slight smile, said goodbye, and left, "Bye."

Hayes, hands in his pockets, face growing even redder with indignation, "I waited half an hour just for your ’bye’?"

Hannah was puzzled, "If not that, then what else? You wouldn’t expect me to see you off, would you? I’m not going out."

Underneath her heavy makeup, her bright black eyes glowed with a hint of confusion and fatigue.

"Who said for you to see me off?" Hayes suddenly deflated, stuffing a note in Hannah’s hand, murmuring, "Don’t leave without saying goodbye this time."

Hannah looked at the note in her hand, then at Hayes, then back to the note in her hand.

"What did you just say?"

She didn’t hear clearly.

Hayes pursed his lips, glared at Hannah, said grumpily, "Nothing."

When James Landon came over, he just so happened to see Hayes and Hannah together, Hannah holding a note in her hand, and Hayes looking unhappy.

James frowned, quickening his pace, "Hayes Edwards, what are you doing here?"

Hayes was startled, let out a sigh of relief when he saw it was James.

Towards James, Hayes was still pretty polite, "Mr. Landon."

James simply nodded, his demeanor detached.

He was not wearing glasses or a cap today, with his long bangs hanging down, he looked much more refreshing than usual.

Although James was not much older than Hayes, since he debuted earlier, he was considered a senior.

James pointed to the note in Hannah’s hand, looking curious, "What’s this?"

As soon as James asked, Hayes quickly made a gesture behind Hannah’s back.

He motioned her not to say it.

However, Hannah didn’t understand Hayes’ intention and took the note out without any reservation, "It’s from Hayes, I haven’t had a chance to look at it."

She said, yawning as she spoke. The fatigue in her eyes deepened, causing the corners of her eyes to slightly redden, adding a touch of fragility.

James unconsciously took the note, sounding concerned, "If you’re tired, go back and rest first."

Hannah nodded, her gaze briefly met Hayes, who looked as if he was on the verge of doom. Ignoring him, she turned to James, "Did you find me for something?"

James did come to find Hannah, but seeing her almost falling asleep, he shook his head.

Hannah didn’t obsess over it, she smiled at the two in front of her and turned to leave.

Watched Hannah leave, Hayes was quietly freaking out. Looking at the note in James’ hand, he wanted to reach out to take it but didn’t dare to.

He’s fidgeting continuously.
