Chapter 407: Chapter 407: What Was Your Past Like

He’s actually treating her so unfairly.

It’s truly too much.

Aware that he had crossed the line, Arnold Simmons cooed into her ear with immense patience, "There’s no one else, only you."

She was so tired her limbs were shaking, and she could only let him turn her around.

Her skimpy clothes barely managed to cover the essential parts.

Arnold was a normal man, naturally affected by the flirtations of his girl, even breathing next to her was a torment.

In fact, without her deliberate provocations, he was already on the brink, if it weren’t for his strong willpower, he would have already thoroughly become the obsessively wild beast in his mind and possessed her.

Hannah allowed the man to help her get dressed; her voice was soft and sweet as she muttered, "Arnold, you’re not human."

"Hmm, I’m not human, I’m a beast." He continued her sentence.

He knew she was upset and let her vent, not feeling the slightest anger but only sweetness.

Finally, when the clothes were on, Arnold’s forehead was already covered in sweat.

Hannah just lazily laid on the man’s chest, feeling his heart beating powerfully one beat after another.

The two of them stayed like this for a while before she spoke, "Arnold, what was your past like?"

She suddenly asked.

Arnold lowered his head, meeting her shining black eyes, lightly pinched her soft earlobe, his voice was hoarse, "Want to know?"

Hannah looked up, with glossy black eyes looking straight at the man beside her, "Yes."

The man lightly caressed the girl’s soft, silk-like hair. His eyes contained barely noticeable sentiments, yet somehow seemed absent.

His thin pale lips parted slightly, and the sealed past slowly poured out from his mouth. He seemed indifferent, as if narrating someone else’s story, his eyes filled with apathy.

Only when he met the girl’s gaze would there be some relaxation.

Arnold’s mother was originally just an intern at Simmons Group.

A girl fresh out of school, youthful, energetic, vibrant, and combined with a beautiful face, easily moved the then holder of Simmons Family’s power.

Jimmy Simmons’ grandfather, Arnold’s nominal father.

A man nearing fifty, well-maintained, possessing maturity and steadiness that other men lacked, along with wealth.

Old Madam Simmons had passed away due to illness not long after giving birth to Jimmy’s father. For many years, the man never remarried, but women were always present in his life.

One was an experienced woman from the entertainment world, and the other a naive girl just entering society. Once their paths crossed, it was like a greenhouse flower meeting a raging storm.

An irresistible force.

It didn’t take long for the girl to become pregnant.

She once naively thought that this man would marry her, but in the end, she was forced to leave her homeland alone.

She went through the ten months of pregnancy, from the initial despair to the anxious anticipation of childbirth.

The girl was ready to greet this new life, ready to rely on her child.

She knew that perhaps her future steps would be difficult, perhaps she would be criticized, but she always held hope.

Unfortunately, fate loves to play tricks.

She didn’t even get a chance to see her own biological child before she departed from this world.

At the age of ten, Arnold was taken from the orphanage by Old Master Simmons to the Simmons Family.

And what came after...

The man seemed to intentionally skip over that part of the story, only giving a brief overview in a few sentences.
