Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Mind Your Manners

He was just about to say something when Hannah beat him to it, "Miss Lynch, I thought you would be quite familiar with the idea of switching center positions. After all, this is not the first time, is it?"

Her gaze was fixed on Tiffany Lynch, who was hiding behind the man.

Their eyes met, the former lazily indifferent, the latter filled with jealousy and resentment.

Tiffany whimpered a few times, squeezing out a couple more tears from her eyes. Clinging tightly to George’s hand, as if he was her only support, she tenderly said, "George."

George frowned, his voice as cold as ever, "Hannah, that’s enough."

Hannah looked up at the tall man in front of her, pressed her lips together and gave a soft laugh, "Mr. River, are you going to lose your cool out of anger for your beloved?"

George said, "I just hope you can keep things in perspective."

Hannah didn’t care, "Keeping things in perspective? What perspective? Your little girlfriend is upset about having her position switched and came crying to you. If you’re going to soften up, then go talk to the director. I didn’t switch the positions."

George’s face turned cold, he rubbed his temples, "Hannah Winter, can’t you just act normal for once?"

Hannah’s eyes widened, ready to retort, but was stopped by Lucy Taylor who grabbed her hand.

Dragged her away forcefully.

Only when they had left, did Tiffany come out from behind the man. The tears on her face have been wiped dry, only her eyes remained red, "George... Hannah..."

George withdrew his gaze, his eyes are as soft as always. Seemed to have thought of something, a fleeting smile flashed in his eyes, "Hannah Winter’s been a bit temperamental lately, don’t overthink it."

At his words, Tiffany’s heart sank.

Is that...just it?

She originally wanted George to stand up for her, but this attitude from him left her a bit perplexed.

Suppressing the grievance in her heart, Tiffany could only continue to smile gently as usual, "I’m fine, Hannah probably didn’t mean to hurt me."

George said blandly, "Hmm."

Tiffany’s face changed to an even worse shade.

The shooting had continued till nearly noon. The sun was at its peak and the occasional shrill of cicadas from the peach grove made people irritable.

The staff on scene were feeling groggy, only the director stayed awake, yelling through his loudspeaker from time to time.

Tiffany’s face was visibly pale, she had even forgotten to wear her perfect facade.

In the last scene, Tiffany, playing the role of the fairy Lotus, returns to earth after surviving a catastrophe, and meets with her two old friends, running towards them from afar.

The white skirt drew arcs in the air and stirred the petals, which spun around in the air before settling back onto the ground.

She ran towards Hannah, but her eyes landed on the stream behind Hannah, a touch of ruthlessness flashed in her eyes.

Hannah Winter, you forced me to do this.

Without that face, I’d like to see how you could be so arrogant.

In the last few steps, she didn’t slow down, her hand extended straight towards Hannah.

Lucy, who was beside Hannah, had a delayed reaction and tried to pull Hannah away, but only grasped at thin air.

Dodged to the side.

Tiffany’s pupils dilated, she desperately steadied her steps. Just as she had finally found her balance, a dull pain shot through her leg.

Splash—

Tiffany went straight down into the water, splashing water half a person high.

Hannah frowned, side-stepped to avoid, but even so, her skirt was inevitably stained by the mud.
