Chapter 393: Chapter 393: Switching Positions

Something was slipping away. If she didn’t chase it, it would really be gone.

Clenched fists now unclenched, George River trudged through the stream and reached the bank.

The man, who always pursued perfection to the point where he could even be considered fastidious, was for the first time in such a sorry state.

Drops of water fell onto the grass, his hems damp and even stained with brown mud. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Hannah held up her skirt, distancing herself from him. Seeing George approach her, she raised her hand hastily, "Stay away from me. I still have an advertisement to shoot later."

George found it amusing and purposely took two more steps closer.

Hannah quickly jumped away. Her face was annoyed, "Don’t you want the best for me? Are you trying to ruin my skirt because I’m prettier than your girlfriend? Even if my skirt gets dirty, my face is still pretty. Just give it rest."

George stopped in his tracks, silent.

He thought, Hannah, who claimed not to love him, was indeed more charming than ever.

Even when she was throwing a tantrum, she was somehow very attractive.

After Hannah’s individual shots were done, it was time for group shots.

Originally, Tiffany Lynch was in the center with Hannah and Lucy Taylor on the sides.

Not long after the shoot began, the director called a halt, "Tiffany Lynch and Hannah Winter, switch places."

The director frowned, seriously considering the problem of positioning.

According to the advertiser’s request, this ad needed to portray a sense of light and delicate dynamics, but that was what Tiffany lacked.

While she stood there rigidly, the smile on her face was picture-perfect, but it gave the camera too stiff of a feeling.

It was good, but too ordinary.

Hearing the director’s words, Tiffany was surprised. She subconsciously looked at George. Seeing that he didn’t react, Tiffany gritted her teeth, "Director, is this appropriate?"

Without a second thought, the director responded, "Am I the director or are you the director, what I say goes."

After speaking, the director realized belatedly George was standing aside. After two coughs and seeing no reactions from him, he hurried them, "Hurry up, we have other shots to take."

Tiffany gritted her teeth, and reluctantly switched places with Hannah.

In the subsequent shots, the director intentionally and repeatedly placed Hannah in the center. Tiffany’s resentment grew, while George, standing aside, didn’t seem to mind.

Maybe Hannah was just too dazzling. Even if all the shots were focused on her, nobody would find it inappropriate.

When the director yelled "Cut," Tiffany couldn’t wait to run to George’s side, holding up her skirt, "George, how do you think I did?"

George handed her a towel to wipe her sweat, "You did a good job."

Tiffany seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, her voice soft, "That’s good. I was worried that my acting skills might have regressed after not acting for so long."

George reached up and touched Tiffany’s hair, appearing to soothe her, but his gaze uncontrollably drifted in another direction.

In his line of sight, another actress, who was shooting together, was standing next to Hannah, talking to her. Hannah was lazily playing with her jade pendant, looking bored.

Right after, the actress passed a mirror to Hannah, who then beamingly accepted, continuously admiring her reflection.
