Chapter 381: Chapter 381: They Won’t Believe Even If Told

Tiffany?

Indeed, as befitting the ever radiant moon, even across the farthest distances, she continually lingers in the mind.

Hannah raised her eyebrows slightly and asked calmly, "Do you think I am joking around?"

Louis Snyder paused for a while before replying, "Tiffany isn’t that kind of person."

In his memory, Tiffany was always gentle and generous, incapable of inflicting harm on others.

For a while, Louis truly couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

Yet Hannah’s gaze was so pure and earnest that it was impossible to doubt her. The slight curve of her lips seemed to say, "See, I knew you wouldn’t believe me even if I told you."

"Maybe it was just an accident," Louis muttered after some time.

Hannah looked down and chuckled softly. Her laughter carried a hint of coldness. She deftly sliced through the bloody steak on her plate with a sharp tool.

With a single stroke, she neatly sliced through the meat, "You should remind your Tiffany then, that such ’accidents’ may also happen to her in future."

She raised the knife, smiling slightly but grimly, "But the extent of the accident, isn’t something she can control."

Louis chose to believe that Hannah was only venting her frustration, so he didn’t continue pressing the issue.

After dinner, he offered to send Hannah home, but she declined, "Focus on your filming. Opportunities are hard to come by. I hope you seize this one."

Louis locked eyes with Hannah, his heartbeat quickening. He finally voiced his question, "Sis, will you come to the set to visit me?"

Hannah glanced at the time, "If I have a chance, I will."

Her words were polite yet distanced.

Louis held his sleeves tight, his heart sinking into an icy pit, yet he maintained his innocent smile, "Great, I’ll be waiting for you at the film set."

Only when he saw Hannah get into the car did Louis release his grip. His smile slowly faded.

Louis’s expression turned icy.

"Sis."

He whispered softly to himself, clutching at his chest, feeling his heart pounding harder and faster than ever. His smile twisted slightly.

This smile was no longer the innocent one he used to put on.

Something was gradually spiralling out of control.

The day Hannah refused to publicize her relationship with Tiffany Lynch, things between them became more tense.

This was particularly notable in Tiffany’s attitude.

She used to act subtly, but now she was doing it openly.

The producer had to meet privately with Tiffany once more.

The gist of their discussion was that Tiffany’s reputation online wasn’t good, and that Hannah had gained a considerable number of fans through two trending topics.

Even people who didn’t watch talent shows knew Hannah’s name.

If Tiffany continued to be against Hannah, she was the one bound to lose.

Tiffany scoffed, "So you’re suggesting I swallow my anger?"

The producer sat cross-legged, exhaled a puff of smoke, "Miss Lynch, may I remind you, this is the entertainment industry. Although you have a powerful backer and I, a mere producer, can’t contend with you, you’re not only facing me but also tens of thousands of netizens. You can’t expect Director River to bribe everyone for you, can you?"

Pleasing everyone was next to impossible.

Despite there being plenty of foolish and gullible people online, there were also many rational ones.

While public opinion can be guided, any backlash from people who figure out the manipulation will inevitably fall back onto oneself.

Seeing Tiffany’s demeanor lose its defiant frenzy, the producer offered one last piece of advice.
