Chapter 380: Chapter 380: Looking for a Girlfriend
They were no longer as close as before.
As Hannah gently tapped on the glass, she spoke slowly, "Being nineteen, you’ve missed out on puppy love. Aren’t you planning on finding a girlfriend? There should be plenty of pretty girls within our circle, no?"
Girlfriend?
The suggestion seemed to catch Louis Snyder by surprise, stiffening his expression. He didn’t expect Hannah to bring up this subject.
Their relationship hovered between friendship and romance, and under his deliberate control, it stayed ambiguously in between.
Hannah had never raised this question before, because it was their unspoken agreement.
His hand tightened around the porcelain cup, and he smiled innocently, "Sis, I want to focus on my work first."
After deliberating for a while, he could only come up with this response.
Hannah nodded half-heartedly without continuing on the topic and seemed content playing games on her phone.
Another man served their food.
He was a young lad, who shyly averted his gaze upon seeing Hannah’s smile, "Ma’am, your meal’s ready."
Hannah curved her eyes in amusement, "Thank you."
Charmed by her enchanting smile, the waiter quickly looked away, flustered, "No...no need to thank, just call if you need me."
Hannah responded, "Alright."
And he left.
With his freezing cutlery in hand, Louis commented, "Sis, you seem different from the past."
Hannah, who was busy flirting with Lord Sponsor, responded to Louis after sending her last message, "Of course, I am much prettier than before."
Caught off guard, Louis watched Hannah checking herself in the mirror again. After a while, she puts it away, unhappy, "Damn it, even though I still look good today, my mood is horrendous. I swear I’ll avenge my face one day!"
She was terribly vindictive.
After a pause, Louis finally mustered the courage to ask, "Who hurt you?"
After uttering the words, he assumed it must be someone from her show, so he speculated, "Was it someone from the production crew?"
It’s been Hannah’s shining moment lately. In just one month of filming, she’s already topped the trending searches twice.
Although it’s usually for her comically shocking remarks, she engineered brainwash unexpectedly.
Earning her an army of die-hard fans.
Even without any deliberate effort from Louis, he’d hear others talking about it as they belong to the same circle.
Soon, it may not be possible for him to dine with Hannah at the restaurant like they used to.
The thought filled him with an inexplicable sense of loss resembling that of his dreams.
Snapped back to reality, he found Hannah staring at him with a faint smile. She laughed softly, "Never mind, you wouldn’t believe it even if I said it."
Louis furrowed his brows, "What do you mean?"
Hannah looked down, precisely cutting a steak on her plate, answering word-by-word, "Literally what I just said. What can you do if you knew, avenge me?"
Louis blurted out, "Why not?"
After he spoke, even he was taken aback. He fell silent for a while, but then decided against taking back his words.
Hannah nodded, "Alright then, if you’re a man of your words, go kidnap Tiffany Lynch for me. Let me smash a teacup on her forehead, don’t worry, I always aim accurately, she won’t take a second blow."
She wasn’t joking.
Louis realized this, he stayed quiet for a long time before speaking again, "You meant Tiffany hurt you?"
