Chapter 366: Chapter 366: How to Learn from Me

Arnold Simmons parted his thin lips, uttering a single, cold word, "Hmm".

"Gosh!" Hannah frowned, retracting her hand, her dark pupils swirling with discontent and confusion. "I thought being insincere was my exclusive asset. When did Mr. Simmons start learning from me?"

Arnold said he wasn’t upset but the atmospheric pressure around him was so low it almost congealed into ice.

As if he was afraid others wouldn’t realize his dark mood.

Actually, he regretted expressing his emotions in that call the other day.

His youthful days were not enjoyable. After being taken back to the Simmons family by Old Sir Simmons, Arnold was plunged from one hell into another.

As an illegitimate child, insults and abuse came one after another, never ceasing. Everyone who saw such a despicable person wanted to step on him.

Even so, Arnold never disclosed his emotions to anybody. The most he would do was wear a sullen face, the fury in his eyes growing increasingly dense.

But then came George River’s pointed provocation that day.

Though he knew it was a base incitement to cause division, he still lost most of his rationality, letting the crazily growing seed of perversion and fury in his heart envelop his whole heart.

It was an uncontrollable desire to possess.

Though he had always wanted to keep her by his side, it was the first time Arnold had admitted it to Hannah.

He had thought he would get a frightened reaction or an attempt to run away from the young girl. He was even prepared to play the villain again, but...

It seemed that the young lady in his house had sized him up pretty well.

Her small mouth, definitely a source of both love and exasperation, was something he couldn’t help but want more of.

All along the way, Arnold was very silent. When he didn’t speak, Hannah started to throw a tantrum, folding her arms, and turning her head away from Arnold.

Every now and then she would hum a couple of lines to show her continued displeasure.

Not until they stepped down from the vehicle did Arnold willingly walk to the passenger side to open the door for Hannah, his tone seemingly becoming gentler, "Still angry?"

Hannah turned her head away, not looking at him, puffing up her cheeks, and mumbling a few words.

Like a kitten calling out, Arnold couldn’t hear clearly. Surely, they were words cursing him.

He shook his head, reaching out to pull the person inside the car.

With limited space in the car, Hannah couldn’t avoid him. With one hand Arnold easily captured both of Hannah’s hands, and with the other, he drew her entire body into his arms, "You said you wanted to have a candlelight dinner. Now we’re here and you don’t want to get out of the car?"

Amidst the struggle, Hannah’s face became redder, even the corners of her eyes were tinged with a bit of red. Her voice was filled with anger, but it seemed more like she was acting cute, "Why were you angry when you called me that day?"

Arnold indulgently embraced her from the car. They were alone, so he didn’t hold back. Touching nose to nose, click of the cool, fine texture. His eyebrows, slightly raised, "Really want to know?"

Hannah nestled in his arms, looking up to see a flawless, sleek jawline.

She felt a tickle in her heart, couldn’t help but stretch out her hand to touch it. The feel was quite good, so she nodded, "I want to know."

Arnold didn’t stop Hannah’s little movements, instead, he lowered his head so she could touch him more easily, and spoke lightly, "I met George River."

As the words fell, Arnold felt the body of the woman in his arms stiffen. The hand at his jaw stopped moving as well.

He was dissatisfied, exerting more force on her, leaned into her petite, soft ear, whispered a dangerous sentence, carrying the intensity of a storm about to burst, "Can you guess what he said to me?"
