Chapter 352: Chapter 352: Fence-sitter
Tiffany Lynch, not willing to give up, wanted to seize the outfit, but the girls beside her quickly held her back, "Tiffany, calm down. We’re about to go live, and it wouldn’t look good if anyone saw this."
"Exactly, exactly, just go change your clothes. After all, you’re undoubtedly the center regardless, it’s just a dress."
Everyone tried to comfort Tiffany, but they were still a bit upset about May Hoffman taking the dress.
After all, everyone else was in black, and only she was in white. Wasn’t this clearly monopolizing the center spot?
Tiffany was enough trouble, and now where did this May Hoffman come from?
But no one wanted to stir things up as the livestream was about to begin, so they all went to change into their own outfits.
The performance would still be live-streamed, but only the people present could participate in the on-site voting.
individuals would choose the top performer of each group, and then compare the number of votes received by each top performer, with the highest scorer receiving an extra twenty thousand votes, and the rest of the group members receiving ten thousand votes each.
The final ranking would be based on the total number of votes received by midnight.
May Hoffman wasn’t suited to the white dress. Because of her dark complexion and sizeable build from doing farmwork, she didn’t quite pull it off. However, the makeup had greatly improved her appearance.
Yet, compared to Hannah, she still paled.
But Hannah was pleased to see such a May, eyed the pure white dress, and chuckled, "Indeed, I prefer fence sitters like you."
Fence sitters - who go to whoever offers the most benefit.
She liked that.
May chose to ignore the disdain in Hannah’s words, "Tiffany was certain this dress was for her. I didn’t let her have it though."
On stage, besides the performers’ skill, the outfit was equally important.
If you wore something unremarkable similar to the backup dancers, even with excellent skills, you’d still be overshadowed.
Besides, Tiffany’s skills weren’t impressive to begin with.
This was what May admired most about Hannah - she always managed to pit them against each other with her innocent face, as she had done to her and Jenny.
Even now, when everyone noticed the bad blood between Tiffany and Hannah, and even after Tiffany had repeatedly targeted Hannah, Hannah always brushed it off with a laugh.
She never retaliated, instead she would subtly push others to take action.
Saying that the promised advertisement shoot Tiffany had talked about was a lie, she also gave her the opportunity to switch groups.
Even though she knew this was Hannah’s plot to get her to take down Tiffany, she had no other choice, "Hannah, why don’t you do it yourself?"
May was curious. Given Hannah’s current abilities and her mysterious sponsor, dealing with Tiffany would be a piece of cake.
Hearing this, Hannah’s expression flickered. She then laughed coquettishly, her tone innocent, "Oh my, I just love watching you guys in-fighting. If I got involved, it’d be a mismatch, I’m afraid you guys wouldn’t be able to handle it."
She finished with a smirk on her face.
Sincere yet mischievous.
It reminded May of a TV character who would often incite the evil thoughts of others. Watching them struggle between good and evil, ending up bloodstained.
Yet, she would always be an outsider, watching with a smile as the people entrapped by their own evil thoughts desperately tried to escape.
It’s tough to determine whether such people are indeed evil.
Everyone has evil thoughts, can be selfish, and envious.
