Chapter 320: Chapter 320: Are you jealous?
The middle-aged man proudly introduced his daughter to George River, "This is my youngest daughter, Lily. She just turned eighteen and has returned from studying abroad."
Having spoken, he gently nudged his daughter. Shyly, Lily raised her head, "Hello...hello."
George River was clearly unimpressed by the girl standing in front of him.
At eighteen, in ordinary families she would simply be a university freshman. However, within their social circles, this was already an acceptable age to consider her for marriage.
Fathers like Lily’s, who owned companies yet did not have a strong family foundation, were particularly anxious about this.
George River looked at the shy young girl in front of him. She had obedient eyes and a timid demeanor, but her natural beauty was undeniable.
At first glance, she bore a slight resemblance to Tiffany Lynch, however, she lacked the inherent arrogance that Tiffany carried.
Rather, she resembled Hannah Winter far more significantly.
Especially the way her eyes shyly looked at him.
With that thought, George River’s heart started to flutter.
Why...why was he suddenly thinking about her?
Regaining his composure, he found his emotions still difficult to suppress, and thus feigned calm, "Excuse me, I need to step away."
The middle-aged man wanted to say something more but noticed that George River, who was initially leaving in a hurry, had suddenly stopped. He stood, staring straight towards the entrance.
At that moment, all eyes at the party were turned towards the entrance, the expressions filled with awe.
She was a natural center of attention.
In her trailing black gown, embellished with fragments of diamond, she seemed to walk on the stars. Her black hair and red lips contrasted with her flawless skin, radiant like top-class jade.
In an instant, her tempting red lips caught everyone’s eye.
Several men were unable to resist and wanted to approach her, but as soon as they saw the man next to Hannah, they immediately halted and retreated, their eyes full of fear.
Second Young Master Simmons.
The man was handsome and manly. He stood there, with a cool look in his eyes, only showing a hint of tenderness when he leaned in to listen to whisperings from those next to him.
Even so, the people present did not dare to stare.
The two of them stood there, matching perfectly like a pair of gems, their temperaments complementary. No one could intervene.
However, this scene was a thorn in George River’s side. His expression grew cold as he continued to stare at Hannah, seemingly oblivious to the people calling him from behind.
"What are you looking at?" Arnold Simmons gently whispered into Hannah’s ear.
Following Hannah’s line of sight, the first thing he saw was George River’s angry eyes.
Arnold Simmons chuckled lightly, his eyes darkening and a sneer sneaking onto his face.
He tightened his arm around Hannah’s slender waist.
Caught off guard, Hannah nearly leaned into him. She turned her gaze away, looked up at the man next to her, and playfully reproached, "What are you up to?"
Arnold Simmons remained silent, holding her waist even tighter.
Hannah deciphered his intentions after a moment and smiled, her voice soft. What she said next startled Arnold Simmons.
"Mr. Simmons, are you jealous?"
The man was silent, his facial expression unchanged. However, Hannah could sense his unease.
Arnold Simmons watched as Hannah walked further inside. Those who passed wanted to approach and greet her but retreated back to their positions, deterred by Arnold Simmons’s cold gaze.
The crowd parted, clearing a path for them.
