Chapter 215: Chapter 215: No Need for Help

Edison Lynch sounded deflated, "I am your brother; if I obtain Hannah’s affection, she would become your sister-in-law. How about that?"

Emily Lynch wavered.

To have the opportunity to come into close contact with such a beauty...

Emily zoned out for a moment, but quickly hardened her resolve, "No way, our family’s beauty isn’t for the likes of you to covet!"

With that, she resumed her war against the online trolls.

She had to transform her grief and indignation into strength, making those trolls’ lives miserable!

Looking at his sister diligently typing away on her keyboard, the recently dismissed Edison smirked, then quietly left the room.

However, as soon as he left, he retrieved his phone and sneakily registered an account to follow Hannah’s fan club.

What should he name it?

He decides on - ’Man Destined to Conquer Hannah’!

Perfect, that’s it!

The assistant initially thought that Arnold Simmons, after the storm he weathered yesterday, wouldn’t arrive at the office so early. Yet, when she walked in to deliver some documents, she saw him sitting inside.

She quickly retreated and knocked on the door before daring to enter, "Mr. President, here are the documents from the finance department."

The man was engrossed in the contract in his hands. He acknowledged her with a slight nod, his voice was faint, "Just leave them there."

"Okay." The assistant nodded, left the documents, and quickly made to leave.

But just as she was halfway out, Arnold Simmons’s voice came from behind her again, "Which companies participated in the investment for ’Shining Star Journey 2’ this season?"

The man capped his pen, picked up a pile of documents from next to him, and continued reading, as if the one who had just spoken wasn’t him.

His tone was mild, a simple statement.

After a brief thought, the assistant listed the names of several companies.

Big and small companies alike.

Arnold Simmons only zeroed in on one, looking up, "Prideful Entertainment."

The assistant paused, explained, "It’s the entertainment company under the River Family. They have been around for many years. Recently, they suddenly injected funds into ’Shining Star Journey 2’, seemingly to ensure someone’s debut. It’s common as the show producers usually allow it."

After her words, the man fell silent for a long time.

’Shining Star Road’, the initial program, was introduced from abroad by Arnold Simmons. At that time, he was just testing the waters of the entertainment industry, not really caring about it.

Even after the program blew up, he didn’t consider expanding the Simmons family business into the entertainment industry. He was just a man behind the scenes, not meddling in specifics.

As a fellow businessman, he didn’t mind these little tricks.

However, now that it involved his beloved niece, his attention was piqued.

He glanced at the still image on his computer screen.

It was a stunning beauty beyond words, her head bowed as she held a pipa, her simple cheongsam adorned with crimson plum blossoms that seemed to bleed, vivid as the rouge on her fair face.

One glance was all it took for one to never forget.

The confidence and slight flamboyance was evident in her eyes.

Only he could see his niece’s small mannerisms, clearly resembling her usual spoiled, wilful demeanor in front of him.

She always elevated herself, often declaring that she was the most beautiful person in the world and that no one could surpass her beauty.

She had a stubborn temperament that made him grit his teeth, yet she was incredibly stubborn.

Before she left, he asked her one last time, "Others yearn for it, do you really not want me to intervene and help you?"
