Chapter 1284: Chapter 1284: It’s the Reward
The script was for a scene in the second half of the play.
A confession.
When he got to the words, he stuttered after barely starting the first word.
Standing with his mouth open for a long time, he couldn’t utter a sentence, and his face blushed up to his ears.
Under the sunlight, the girl looked extraordinarily lovely and charming, exuding delicate grace amidst her natural beauty that fascinated even without makeup.
After much hesitation, just as he was finally mustering up the courage to speak...
He looked up to see Hannah’s eyes brimming with laughter.
There was joy in them, mixed with a bit of surprise.
The lead actor paused, then turned his head to see a man standing in a distant corner.
It was Arnold Simmons.
Hannah’s man... No, her fiancé.
Although she was pleased, Hannah still said to the lead actor, "I have something to do right now, can we do our scene later?"
The lead actor, of course, nodded, but his smile had a tinge of disappointment, "Sure... of course."
The girl ran past him, the warm breeze she stirred making him stiffen with shyness on the spot.
He only snapped out of it when his assistant came over.
"Movie Queen Winter and her fiancé really have a great relationship. He almost comes to visit the set every day; in our circle, I envy them the most."
Listening to the comments by his side, the lead actor turned to look at the two hugging each other, he sighed, "Indeed."
Hannah at twenty-three and her at eighteen seemed no different.
She still had that spirited and beautiful charm, every smile sweet and tempting.
Arnold Simmons raised his hand to tidy her slightly disheveled bangs.
Despite the film being a romantic literary piece, it spanned a great deal of time, from high school to college, and then to working life.
Hannah’s current attire was that of the female protagonist in her high school days.
A high ponytail, blunt bangs, school uniform - all making her appear youthful and well-behaved, instantly taking her back to her school days.
Hannah looked up at him, "Arnold, do I look particularly young right now?"
Arnold Simmons, holding her hand and walking forward, turned to look at her and said earnestly, "You’ve always been young, forever eighteen."
The man said the pampering words with a serious face, which sounded exceptionally flirtatious.
She laughed especially heartily, appearing as if she were about to cling onto Arnold Simmons.
The sun was dazzling, casting a warm golden glow that tightly enveloped the two’s figures together on the ground.
After walking some distance and with no one around,
Hannah suddenly stopped.
Arnold Simmons turned to look at her, "What’s wrong?"
Hannah stretched out her hand to him, with an especially sweet smile on her lips, "My foot hurts, I can’t walk."
"Liar," he said but nevertheless walked back to her without hesitation.
Just as he was about to squat down in front of her and noticed her short skirt, he took off his jacket and carefully tied it around her waist.
Then he turned around, squatted down, and said with a mix of helplessness and indulgence, "Just this once, you’re not allowed to be so spoiled in the future."
Climbing onto his back contentedly, she whispered in his ear, "You said the same thing last time, but here you are carrying me again."
Arnold Simmons looked down at the path, unable to hide the smile on his lips, but his voice remained calm, "Is that so? Well, there won’t be a next time."
Hannah hummed softly and wrapped her arms around his neck, pecking lightly on his left cheek, her voice crisp, "Alright, alright, this is your reward."
The soft touch, in that instant, felt like being tightly wrapped in the mist rising from a hot spring.
The tender voice of the girl lingered in his ears.
She said, "This time it’s the left side, next time I’ll kiss the right side, you cannot become pampered and capricious."
