Chapter 1279: Chapter 1279: Friends Gathering

"That’s too much, they really went too far. I kindly sang for them to relax, and they actually said my singing sounded worse than killing a chicken... Hannah, tell me, isn’t my singing good?"

Hayes Edwards was so drunk that he was dizzy and started to lose his clarity, even his gaze was blurry when he looked up at people.

Jack Stewart went over to pull him away, but just as he touched his shoulder, Hayes slumped onto the couch.

Hannah bent down to look at him, waved her hand in front of him, and asked him with a laugh, "Do you still want to sing now?"

Hayes waved his hand magnanimously, "Sing, of course I’ll sing, hand me the microphone..."

Before he could finish his sentence, he had already fallen asleep.

Just as Hannah was about to have the villa’s staff help him to the guest room to rest, Jack stopped her.

"If you help him in now, he’s going to make a fuss when he wakes up and doesn’t see anyone around. Let’s just let him sleep here."

Hannah thought about it and didn’t bother anymore.

She only had someone find a blanket to cover him.

Seeing Hannah coming over, Emily Lynch, sitting on the side, excitedly waved her hands, "Hannah, Hannah, come sit here." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

She purposely made space and even pushed her own brother, Edison Lynch, to the side.

Edison, caught off guard, fell straight to the ground.

Struggling to get up and just about to confront her, he saw Hannah sit down and immediately calmed down.

Unable to restrain his "playboy" flirtatious nature, he immediately turned on the charm.

He shook his head, flicked his bangs, and flashed his enticing, peach-blossom eyes, "Hannah... ah!"

Before he could finish, he was pushed away again.

Jack came over, looked down at him, "Mind moving over."

Edison fumed, "Can’t you sit somewhere else!"

Jack laughed, and sat between Edison and Hannah, "I just like it here."

Hannah watched the two of them bicker, laughing delightedly.

Emily Lynch also egged them on from the side.

Edison, teeth gritted in irritation, said, "Jack Stewart, you sissy."

Jack scoffed coldly, "Is that so? I don’t recall who lost to this sissy last week at basketball and then cried and howled about a rematch."

Edison choked, his gaze wavering, his voice tremulous, "Did... did that happen, I don’t remember?"

Holding a handful of playing cards, Jack sorted them while responding, "Is that so? If you don’t remember, shall we make a rematch for next week?"

"Who wants to make a match with you!" Edison snorted coldly.

After all, he didn’t ever want to play basketball with Jack again.

Before the game started, he was full of confidence, but it didn’t take long for him to be pinned down and rubbed all over the court.

He hadn’t imagined that someone who looked so "delicate" before could now be even tougher than him!

Forget it, if he couldn’t provoke him, he could still avoid him, right?

Edison moved to a corner, occasionally stealing glances at Hannah, his expression full of melancholy.

But the melancholy was brief, and soon Hayes, who awoke, dragged him off to sing again.

The party had started in the daytime and ended promptly at eleven in the evening.

At departure, Hayes was still in a groggy state, and it took Roy Yarn and James Landon both to hold him steady.

Just then, he got excited and insisted on taking the pile of trash on the table with him.

The villa’s servants couldn’t persuade him, and had to fetch him a bag.

Hayes clutched the bag, filling it while muttering, "Not one should be left behind."

Jack, getting a headache from watching, finally stepped in and dragged him away.
