Chapter 1259: Chapter 1259: Scared

He was indeed startled.

The shock came from seeing the accusations online and fearing Hannah would misunderstand him, and the other was from Arnold Simmons.

Even though the boy was barely eighteen and could put on a facade of calm, he was still inherently green.

After finally regaining his composure, John Lynch didn’t dare to call again, only managing to send a text message.

——The stuff on the internet, it wasn’t me.

After deleting and editing for quite a while, only this sentence remained and even the hands typing it were trembling.

No sooner had he sent the message than John Lynch closed the interface and clutched his phone tightly.

He didn’t dare to hope for a reply from Hannah, he just wanted to explain.

He didn’t want her to think he was that sort of person.

After taking a few deep breaths, John Lynch turned around, and as he was about to leave, he found himself locking eyes with a pair of dark pupils.

It was Louis Snyder.

Before coming for the audition, John Lynch had done his homework and knew that Louis Snyder was the producer of the film and might be present at the audition to select actors.

However, the sudden sight of him still startled John Lynch.

"Producer Snyder, is there something you need?"

John Lynch’s appearance and innocent demeanor bore some resemblance to Louis Snyder back in the day, both portrayed as harmless, innocent youths.

But John Lynch carried an added touch of greenness and introversion. He was usually quiet in front of the cameras.

Louis Snyder paid no attention to John Lynch’s words, merely glanced at him indifferently, put his hands in his pockets, and walked away.

John Lynch didn’t think much of it and soon adjusted his emotions to prepare for the audition.

This was his first opportunity since being signed by Hannah.

The third male lead in a web series.

Though it was a web series, the production team was well-equipped, and both the male and female leads were popular stars—Rosa and the current trending idols.

Even Woody Harrison, who had been in the same team as him before, couldn’t land such an opportunity.

That’s why he cherished this chance all the more.

After Louis Snyder left, he called over Brother Davis and inquired about John Lynch.

Though curious, Brother Davis relayed everything he knew.

Back in the day, he was somewhat renowned in the circle of agents, had built several connections, and even after ceasing to work as an agent, he still had many ways to hear industry news.

He would naturally learn a bit more about the new trends, such as John Lynch.

"Not long ago, there was a boy band talent show, and John Lynch debuted with this band. They weren’t very famous, so not many knew about them, but John Lynch was somewhat popular among them, some kind of visual, right?"

Brother Davis didn’t follow boy and girl bands closely. His knowledge of the talent show came through his acquaintance with the producer of the program.

Not exactly friends, but acquaintances, and he had just asked out of curiosity.

Louis Snyder sat on a couch with a laptop in front of him and several scripts of web dramas by his side. The script on top was the one for the audition taking place that day.

He wasn’t looking at those scripts, but at the information online.

Brother Davis continued to ramble on about what he knew.

Like how some people online were comparing John Lynch to Louis Snyder, saying their personalities and appearances were alike.

"If you ask me, those people have bad eyesight, comparing John Lynch to you. If you hadn’t quit back then, who knows what heights you could’ve reached by now..."

The words stopped abruptly there.

Brother Davis belatedly covered his own mouth.

Louis Snyder’s expression was cold as he looked down and asked, "Besides that?"
