Chapter 1258: Chapter 1258: Stay Calm

"Who was that?" Hannah had just given all the snacks to Da Yuan and hadn’t had the chance to wipe her hands yet.

Arnold Simmons walked over, sat beside her, and pulled out a wet wipe to clean her hands, his voice sounding exceptionally indifferent, "John Lynch."

"John Lynch?" Hannah paused for a moment before she caught on.

He was the pitiful little guy she had casually saved before.

She hadn’t forgotten him; she just hadn’t thought of him right away.

John Lynch was not a character in the original plot, not even a background extra, but he was the first character to enter her life because of the plot development.

In short, John Lynch’s appearance brought drama, like the encounter between the female lead and the second male lead in a script.

This also meant that the original plot had completely ended, and what happened next would be a brand-new story.

John Lynch was more like a change brought on by the butterfly effect.

Only, Hannah wasn’t interested in raising fish in a pond.

She liked a lot of things: twinkling stars, beautiful gems, and others’ compliments.

But she liked Arnold Simmons the most, "Did he say what it was about?"

She looked at Arnold Simmons’s profile.

He was looking down, his jawline slightly tense, his expression serious and his movements gentle, but his voice carried a hint of careless disinterest, "He didn’t say."

"Is that so?" Hannah pretended to be a bit troubled, "What if I missed something important? Maybe I should still give him a call back and ask?"

As she spoke, she reached out for the mobile phone that had been set aside.

She had barely reached out when Arnold Simmons pulled her hand back.

The man who had been feigning indifference a moment ago now seemed a bit unable to maintain his composure, "If he has something, he should go to his own agent, not come looking for you."

It’s said that women have a sixth sense, but men have it too.

Actually, no matter which sense, when faced with someone they like and adore, they always become more delicate and sensitive.

From the moment the phone was answered, and that address was heard, he had sensed something off.

An eighteen-year-old young man who couldn’t hide things, but he did have quite some guts.

Hannah held her face, her laugh bright, "He might have just been frightened."

Arnold Simmons looked up at her, his fingers right on her palm, which she held tightly, a warmth different from his own, "If he’s scared, he should find a place to calm down on his own."

Hannah looked at him, "Even though you make a lot of sense, I still think you’re jealous."

Arnold Simmons fell silent for a moment then placed the hand, which was holding onto his fingers, onto his waist, letting her lean on him, "I’m not jealous."

Hannah hugged him and pecked lightly at his lips, her tone playful, "Hmm, I believe you. My Mr. Simmons is the most magnanimous, he wouldn’t get jealous over such a trivial matter."

She laughed merrily, her eyes clear and bright.

Arnold Simmons paused and then said, "What did you just say?"

Hannah blinked, "I said you’re magnanimous."

Arnold Simmons shook his head, "No, the sentence before that."

She thought back seriously, and as something came to her, her lips blossomed into a smile once more, her voice soft and warm, "I said, you’re mine."

She was recovering from an illness, and though mostly better, her voice still carried a slight raspiness, making everything sound like coquetry.

As if whispering softly in his ear.

He pulled her into his embrace and kissed her deeply, "Hmm, I’m yours."

So there’s no need to be jealous of those unrelated people.

On the other side, John Lynch didn’t come back to his senses for a good while after hanging up the phone.
